#INGAME This Gusto inversion is making that wing so vulnerable. The midfield ball carrying isn't also there despite the fact that Betis isn't even pressing that hard. These are the fixes we need. There is nothing tough with this match
To fix?
You cannot invert Cucu because of the Anthony threat. I'd just stop the inversions altogether, maintain Gusto without inversion, pull out Enzo for James, let James be the defensive cover in mid and let Caicedo do ball carrying.
There is also the Isco threat inside if you decide to push Caicedo at RB for inversion.
This ball carrying should create empty spaces for Palmer to roam in.

His Master knew....Pellegrini cooked him in that first half...
Why do we always look toothless and predictable while attacking? They want Caicedo to do everything???

Gusto needs to play Rb or on the bench. Enzo needs to play in midfield. One winger needs to come off for George or Sancho. The balance is so bad the players are confused

Okay, i am going to have an in-depth analysis on why Enzo is struggling in that attacking midfield role, this is for those who are open minded and are willing to learn things. (Look through my posts about Enzo i love him and have defended him every time noβ¦

The game was kinda lost until Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez decided to turn up. Kudos to them π

If we had lost, we'd have clicked and ranted. ... But we wouldn't have cried.
Seeing how Betis are crying, this was not just a cup. It was The Cup.
This should give our boys belief going into next season
