The major issue with these two is their work rate.
Their laxity in pressing, inefficiency to comfortably both defend and attack and sluggishness to transition fast from deep areas to attack area would always leave the team with structural issues against stronger opponents.
Against teams that play deep and tight, they can give you the ability to wiggle in between tight spaces but would give you issues with structure when required to both defend and attack in quick succession when defending, or give you instant defensive structural support when shifting from attack to defence
I'd say they are luxury players that can flourish with workholic defensive horses behind them and when often left to play near the opponent's box. This is however considered criminal and taboo with demands of modern football.
For these two, benching Palmer and Jackson is a pipe dream when all factors are constant
They can however borrow a leaf from Mudryk who we criticized earlier but now showing glimpses of brilliance and improvements
