Honestly when it comes to signings I cannot really criticize much until they play for us. I will not judge even the coach, I will not judge till the season starts or even ends but it’s clear he has a plan.
Maresca saying he sees Jackson as a striker is quite worrying because we are currently going for two other strikers and one of them is an elite one to some extent, someone you can’t bench anyhow.

Having 4 or 3 strikers where three have not reached at least minimum potential required to start in a club like this is chaos. If I were these young guys I won’t even come here for whatever project they have. I’d rather groom elsewhere.

The way things are going the coach would turn the whole season to preseason and use the whole season to experiment his starting lineup. We already have so much talent on loan. We honestly need to stop buying “potential” and see where we go with what we currently have.
I’m trying to trust that we know what we are doing but it’s just weird business and by the way the fact the Jackson can dribble and drive dosent mean he can play as a winger. He needs to learn to cross, cut in, positional play which would take him a season to adapt to and even more with the amount of players we have.

i’m certain Samu is gonna bang hard. Some want him to fail to prove a point because they didn’t get the player they wanted. I’m going to support him through thick and thin no matter what. It’s not his fault Chelsea spent that money on him and i believe in his qualities to shine at Chelsea, If you already despise him you can go and hug a transformer no one cares.

The inverting that is supposed to provide solidity has in fact been the greatest weakness for our defence through this pre season.

For opposing teams, they just kick balls to the inverted and left half spaces that forces the three remaining defenders to stretch out trying to cover the opponents run. This in itself stretches the backline making it vulnerable to the through balls

Badiashile and Colwill main attribute is their passing ability but oh my.... it's like they were bewitched.

Their passing accuracy has deteriorated and whenever they're on the ball you just feel like an error will emerge
