Strange decision by Southgate to leave out Palmer yet again

If Chelsea sporting directors are adamant that they wanted Maresca due to his style of play, then they must understand the players that fit it.

Cucurella is a must keep, his touches and ability to quickly get out of tight spaces but also keep the ball very well and sustain possession is important, can play LCB on the ball too.

Chilwell can do none of this, he is a press trigger, has worse technique, takes heavier touches etc. Cucurella fits LCB on the ball and LB off it better than anyone in our whole squad.
