In isolation, Disasi is, again, a smart move. He's a strong, robust CB who can also cover reliably at RB for two RBs who have run into injury worries lately. He has also blossomed into a leadership role at Monaco, and built a strong rapport partnering with Badiashile. Poch has shown that he likes his FBs to slot in as the 3rd CB and Simakan offers a more defensive-minded alternative to James (if minutes will be managed) and Gusto. On the other hand, this probably means Trevoh will leave, which is baffling considering this season would have offered him the chance he deserves to start as the first-choice RCB, especially after captaining the side in pre-season and stating he had enjoyed the role. It's β¬45m spent at a time when we lack a clear starter in two key positions.

Rumour Watch- Axel Disasi
So these days, with Todd you just hear a name being mentioned in the midmorning then sealed in the afternoon. That's how effective, proper transfer teams should be operating.
To start with, I must say Axel Disasi is a monster mentally technically and physically.
What stands out when you see him play is his composure and attention to read and anticipate moves. His positioning coupled with his large physicality makes it almost impossible for offensive players to dribble past.
Physically, the man intelligently roughs opponents out of possession with sheer physical bruteness like prime Van Dijk. When it comes to tackles, the man literally doesn't fear exposing his manly balls to flying shots.
Ball Wise, the man is technically gifted. While Colwil drives possession using a combination of pace and lunges, Disasi uses short intelligent dribbles. He can sniff passing spaces upfront and spray passes there without breaking a sweat.
While his right leg is the primary, his left is not bad at all. This helps especially when being cornered in tight defensive positions
His positioning, marking and tackling which are key in defensive duties are great.
While people see him as a RCB and Right back, his composed, dribbling, positioning, movement and passing makes him a candidate for Defensive midfield role too.
I'd say he is as good as if not better than Fofana. His composure, dribbling and passing makes him outright better than Chaloba. In a defensive midfield role, I'd bet my ass him being better than Gallagher any single day
For 45 Million Euros, Disasi is no doubt a better financial and sporting deal.

#HalftimeReport
Fulham have offered almost zero competition. Our compactness also evident. Great play from everyone but a shoutout to Carney on how he has tried to create spaces in midfield. Burstow is yet to find his feet, Slonina also looks a bit rugged.
However The man sterling wins the man of the match for the first half for just throwing hands and wanting to be the referee. A dull and boring half though

π¨ Andrey Santos is wanted by at least SEVEN clubs. A premier league team asked about him on loan, it was not a big team, but Chelsea at the moment are very happy. Pochettino is impressed, also in training. Santos has a real chance to stay, decided in the next days.

Rumour Watch- Lesley Ogechukwu
Have taken time to post this as I wanted to have a real look at him.
Once again, the chelsea technical staff caught the fans unaware with Lesley's acquisition. Unheard off in the rumours just like it happened with Gusto, Mudryk, Angelo and recently Disasi.
To analyse this guy, we must first remember he is only 19 and still at the germination stages of his career. Looking at him in comparison to Caicedo would give you a biased conclusion. I also believe his signing does not in any way affect the Caicedo deal
The boy is not as bad as people may want us to believe. Yes he is still green but with glimpses of brilliance for his age in that position. He is aggressive and tries to dominate possessions. His long range passing is perhaps one of the highly developed side of his game. His dribbling I would say is in no way inferior to Gallagher. While Gallagher is abrasive in tackles, Lesley adopts a scan and wait approach with his marking. A number of times, he'd go in a poorly calculated tackle as much as Gallagher does.
His ability to maintain possession even in highly marked environments using his body is one of his strengths. He is also fairly good in marking, movement, pace and strength. His passing is as good as Gallagher and Casadei.
When some say he is technically inept, its biased and wrong. I'd say that save for his passing, he is technically as good as Jorginho for now with slightly better defensive skills than J5. For most defensive midfielders save for a few, you'd say that his techniques is as much developed considering his age
While his game is not fully developed, I should say that he is the type of player that can be utilized now to unshackle Enzo potential. Having Okechkwu for 23M and Selling Gallagher for 45M is a no brainer. Given a choice between the two even without the financial fee involved, I'd take the kid any day any time.
Would I send him on loan? No. The kid would learn plenty in this evolving team under Pochetino than on loan. This is because his game needs slight polishing to for him to be top class. Positioning and ball recovering techniques is all it would take to make this kid as good as any defensive midfielder in the EPL.
