Enzo Fernandez on Brentford clash:
"It's a very important game and a key occasion. We have had to suffer the disappointment of being knocked out of the #UCL, which was a tough blow for us, but it is now back to work and doing our job out on the field."
"It is very important that we finish well in the Premier League and we have a great opportunity to start that tonight."
"Now, it is all about showing what we have got in terms of adversity. It has been a tough time for us recently, and it is all about sticking together as a group, team and club."
"These tough periods test you as a player, it is all about being strong, and if we can do all of those things, it is about finishing as high as we possibly can in the league table come the end of the season."

Shit Or Elite?
When he came in, I rightly pointed out unemotionally that Lampard was the greatest mistake despite the number of "Legend" crap people wanted us to swallow. It was nothing personal. Now he is even doing his CV more deservice.. when you see his team's, you just can't figure out how it's going to work.. just like Gerrard, Potter and other British managers, Lampard is average at best and shit as was and still is.
Zero tactics, zero nothing.
When somebody says that we don't have great players it's astonishing and bullshit. It's an excuse I'd have taken in before January. We just haven't been having the right manager to set up right structures for our attacking players to flourish nor offer stability for our defensive players to defend.
An elite manager adapts to his players strengths and weakness vis a vis opponents strength and weaknesses. To feel like you are pre conditioned to play in a certain way is just stupidity. That's why Tuchel won the UCL with the same Team he was floundering with the first time he was here.
What has got us to the situation we are in now is indecision from Todd and his team to square Potter early. 18 points from the remaining matches and only 11 points from the relegation zone. Looking at the difficult matches coming up, Threat of relegation is real and Todd needs to axe the Man. This should also give the new coach time to identify the lots to discard early and facilitate fast transfers next window and seamless pre season in preparation for next season.
Let's learn to keep emotions out and call crap as it is.

If you can field this front 3 at home to brentford, then thereโs no way youโre destined to succeed
I can only assume Frank's been told to play the players we want to sell in an attempt to raise their price. Right now they are getting cheaper by the game.

Mauricio Pochettino
After the 4-4-3 debacle and the Potter failure, Todd must have realized that perhaps he is a better business man than a sporting guru and the need to take time to filter through the managerial appointment carefully
Itโs criminal to judge Pochettino with PSG as the tool. That egocentric dressing room has previously had Emery, Ancelotti and Tuchel and none achieved anything better than Pochettino. There the rich kids felt they are superior to taking in crucial tactical instructions. At Spurs, after Pochettino, spurs have had 5 managers amongst them Conte and Mourinho who have spent millions times more than he did but have performed dismally than him. So yes, Poch is great.
Is he Great than Enrique or Nagelsman? Yes and No. On the fireside when Enrique and Nagelsman rumors surfaced, I pointed out clearly neither of them would be my first choice. Yes, Enrique has won trophies. With a Barca team that was at its peak. Before that at Celta Vigo he had finished 9th and 7th with Roma. With Spain national team, itโs hard to also say he was successful. So the question was how heโd do with average players. Choice between Nagelsman vs. Enrique it was always Enrique because of stability heโd bring, between Poch and Enrique itโs down to the profile of players you have. In a team with big established players it will always be Enrique. A team that wants to transition and develop players, it will always be Poch. An established manager comes with transfer demands and especially now that we are almost violating Fair Play, that is bound to generate lots of clashes and instability in the team.
But it is not just that. But its how Poch sets up his team that I have no doubt he is a good choice. It was difficult playing against TT with their systematic pressing under Pochettino. They just donโt press stupidly. They thrived in setting up pressing traps well and finding the right shapes in back four.
In attack, Poch teams uses depth to create spaces to run and attack. For players who are fast and technical like Joao (if he signs), Nkunku, Mudryk, Datro and Broja this will be very important. For James, Gusto, Chilwel they only have to look at Trippier and Rose on how effective they were to realize that you donโt need to play in a back three to be effective forward. For mount this will also be his rebirth. In a full throttle attack, he deploys minimum 5 players with flying full backs. For younger players Poch is a dream.
We are not pre conditioned to play 3-4-3 but if shit hits the fan, Pochettino used this severally with Spurs. If he fails then itโs only Klopp or Pep that should be appointed next
Poch is not a good appointment. He is a super good appointment. He offers both emotional stability and tactical know how to lead this Chelsea team and the Todd project.

Understand Charlie Webster is set to leave Chelsea.
Webster was told last summer heโs not seen as a future 1st teamer. Charlie wanted to prove them wrong & stayed, but Chelsea havenโt changed their mind & Charlie accepts time to move on.
Told Dortmund retain long term interest.

Chelsea plan to hire Paul Mitchell. He is set to join in a senior post. While his friendship with incoming boss Mauricio Pochettino is a major attraction, he is also an ideal man to shift unwanted players.
