๐ฃ๏ธ Xabi Alonso on Chelseaโs 2-0 defeat against @Tottenhm Hotspur [H] in the Premier League:
๐ค โWe all take the blame for the result and for the performance. Today we were not at our best.
โI felt that in the second half, the game was even and could have gone either way. Once we conceded that first goal, and then with the red card, it was difficult.
โIn the second half, it was tight, with some half-chances for them and half-chances for us. It was about taking a moment and once we conceded the first goal, it conceded everything. Then, when we wanted to have a reaction, we got the red card. Then it went the other way.
โWe can do better. It's one to reflect after this big game that it was against a good opponent. And the performance, it's one to improve.โ

โWe think [up until] now we havenโt received any red card and we need to continue that way because we need to have this maturity to deal with difficult moments, when you have conceded 1-0, still probably was 15-20 minutes to go, so we have to be on the way. I need to check the action to talk with Cole but it is one to learn for the future for sure.โ

โWe win, we lose together and it is part of the job to deal with and to overcome from mistakes, myself as well and everyone, so we support Mike and we support the rest of the team. He will learn from that and he will want to prove that he can do better and we have to show that we can do better.โ
