Chelsea are interested in signing @Newcastle_United’s Anthony Gordon, with any potential transfer not believed to be dependent on Chelsea qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
It’s understood the Blues are keen on the player — as they were in 2022, when they were interested in signing him from Everton — but have other priorities in the near term.
However, a list of targets has been drawn up, and they have identified Premier League-ready players as a priority for their recruitment this summer.
It’s understood they want players with top-league experience who are used to the tough schedule of playing in four competitions in a season. They are also looking for players who are emotionally mature and have strong character.
The wide areas have been an issue for the club this campaign, and although Geovany Quenda is joining from Sporting CP, there is a desire to add another attacking player.
@Bayern_Munich are also interested, while @Arsenal_london have tracked the 25-year-old long-term.
Newcastle would like to receive around £80 million for the forward, with Everton inserting a 15 per cent sell-on clause
Newcastle’s leadership stress the need to “normalise” the sale of players, including players when they are at their maximum value and when replacements can be sourced.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: The Football Association have handed Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk a four-year ban (the maximum ban) for an anti-doping offence, which is now being appealed in Court Arbitration for Sport.
Mudryk has not played professional football since November 2024, shortly before he was contacted by the FA regarding an adverse finding in a routine urine test testing positive for meldonium. He was subsequently charged with a breach of the governing body’s anti-doping rules in June 2025.
🗣️ An official statement from CAS in Switzerland read:
“CAS confirms it has received an appeal by Mykhailo Mudryk against the FA, filed on 25 February 2026. The Parties are currently exchanging written submissions, and a hearing is yet to be scheduled.
CAS have also confirmed the Ukrainian is now appealing against the "imposed period of ineligibility of four years".

🚨 Chelsea are set to re-open talks at the end of the season to see if they can come to an agreement with Enzo Fernandez. Enzo wants a new contract that’s similar to those handed to Caicedo, James and Palmer.
There is some reservations if Mike Penders is ready for the step up to Chelsea next season, and there’s a temptation for another 1 year loan.
