🚨🔵🎙️ Ashley Young on Jordan Henderson being more than a “cheerleader” at Chelsea:
“When I played with Jordan Henderson for England, his voice and character stood out. It was a shouting match. I’d talk non-stop, and he’d talk non-stop.
“His move to Saudi Arabia felt like semi-retirement, and a lot of people thought, ‘Ah, that’s it.’
“But Jordan won’t be thinking that, because I know him. He’s joined a young Chelsea squad, and he won’t just see himself as a father figure. He’ll be thinking, ‘I’m going to play.’
“People can doubt me and say I’m an elder statesman who can’t do this anymore. But that’s the fuel he needs. That’s the type of person he is.
“You put him in the team, and you see Chelsea climbing the table again.”
