๐ฃ๏ธ Xabi Alonso ahead of Chelseaโs match against Everton [A] in the Premier League:
๐ฅ ๐๐ง ๐ญ๐๐๐ฆ ๐ง๐๐ฐ๐ฌ:
โHe [Emmanuel Emegha] is not available for tomorrow; he felt something yesterday [Thursday], a little thing. He is going to be training next week but still not 100 per cent fit to be playing in tomorrowโs game.
โWhen he is fit, he is very special. He is 1.95 metres, is quick, attacks space, and is a threat. Unfortunately, heโs had little things and he hasnโt been available.
โ[Jamie Gittens] is not yet [ready], itโs still a few weeks.
โWe are all disappointed, and especially for him [Reece James].
โHe wanted to have a good start after the international break, but in the last training session he picked up an injury. We wanted to be cautious and wait for the result of the tests.
โI wish him the best recovery. We wonโt set timelines, but we expect him to be out for several weeks. Itโs not going to be short [his knee injury]. Whether itโs before or after Christmas then time will tell. It needs to be done properly.โ
๐ช ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐จ๐ง:
โItโs going to be a tough game.
โWe are looking forward to this game, intensity, high-demand game, high-tempo. I haven't been in the stadium, but they've told me it's a nice one with good atmosphere, so we are looking forward.
โWe know what it takes to win Premier League games away in tough stadiums, in stadiums that they create a great energy, emotional, but we are able to deal with that playing, but as well competing well, and for sure, the experience for Brentford is not forgotten.โ

๐ฃ๏ธ Xabi Alonso on Chelsea striker Joao Pedro:

โThatโs what we want, thatโs what he wants. Itโs not just about right now that he has scored five goals.
โFrom the first day of pre-season we spoke about that, the next step that he wanted, and he started really well with the pre-season and this season as well. So itโs about continuing.
โWhen you want to become a top striker in this league, you need to be ready in each game to have your impact. Heโs having it and we need that he keeps going.
โSo far, and before this, I could see him scoring lots of goals, and heโs in a good moment. He will have a very good season because heโs hungry for that and heโs scoring goals.
โHe wants to be in the box and wants to help the team around the box as well. Heโs very complete. I really like the way he plays and the way heโs connecting with his team-mates.โ
