𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has been named the EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for August 2026. 🏅

It is the first time Pedro has received the Premier League Player of the Month award and he becomes the first Chelsea player to win it in almost two years, since Cole Palmer got his second in September 2024.

The Brazilian has registered four goal contributions (two goals & two assists) in the opening two matches of the Premier League campaign.

 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋: Pedro Neto has signed a new contract with Chelsea until 2032. ✍️

🗣️ On signing a new deal, Neto said:

“It’s an unbelievable moment.

“From when I arrived, I have always felt like the people here helped me a lot. I feel like home here, I feel like I want to achieve more things here.

“I have had some good moments here as a group and as an individual, and now I want to have more of those moments. I’m really excited because I think we can achieve a lot of things together.”

The Portugal international arrived at Stamford Bridge two years ago and has since made 108 appearances for the Blues. In that time his tally for goals and assists is 40 for the club.

Neto played a crucial part in the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup victories in 2025, scoring three times in the latter competition as the Blues triumphed on the global stage.

This season Neto, 26, already has two goals to his name, including that brilliant strike on Wednesday which completed the rapid comeback against Leeds in the Carabao Cup.

“They are seven points, no goals conceded. They will be hard to beat. They have their weapons with transitions and set pieces. They have the belief that the coach is doing a great job. So it’s going to be hard and we’ll have to be at our best to beat Hull tomorrow.

“They deserve to be where they are. They have played against Manchester United, Coventry and Aston Villa and they have done it really well. They have shown that they have built a very clear idea of what they want, how they want to compete with players that were already there last year, a few other players that came new, but the mentality is that they want to fight with everything to get the goal.

“Tomorrow we are prepared, we are ready. There is not going to be complacency from us. We have full respect for them and we know that it will be hard to beat them. If we do things well, if we complete and play at our level, I think we will have a good chance.”
