The deal also includes an option to buy worth £75 million at the end of the season.

Signed from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, the Ukraine international has made 73 appearances for the Blues and scored ten goals.

Mudryk helped the Blues reach the Carabao Cup final during his first full season at the club and featured en route to the UEFA Conference League triumph.

Having renegotiated the Balogun deal with Everton, Monaco have now reneged on the agreement they had already reached and confirmed in writing with Chelsea.

Chelsea view this as deeply unprofessional.
