๐ฃ๏ธ๐ญ๐ฐ Xabi Alonso ahead of Chelseaโs pre-season friendly against Juventus:
๐ฅ ๐๐ง ๐ญ๐๐๐ฆ ๐ง๐๐ฐ๐ฌ:
โBoth [Mykhailo Mudryk & Danny Welbeck] are available to play tomorrow.
โHe [Mudryk] could play, maybe 90 minutes is too early, but he can be selected. Heโs selected, so he can play.
โRobert Sanchez is much better, so letโs see tomorrow.โ

โWe are thrilled that Misha could be with us. We are thrilled. I think that you could see his smile, how great it was for him to be part of a team, because heโs been a long time training on his own.
โHis fitness level? We will see. But he has been working hard and now itโs about trying to get to do things, passing the ball to teammates, having to integrate in the dynamic. But the first feeling from everyone, we are happy that heโs back with us in the team.โ

โWe take every game, we analyse it, the things that we have worked, we have done right, what we can improve, and from the Spurs game, we have analysed it, and from tomorrow as well.
โWe know that Juve is a great team, with great experienced players, with a great coach, so itโs going to be a great, interesting and useful test for us.
โWe are looking forward to playing in this new stadium. I knew another stadium here in Hong Kong, but the excitement and the engagement with the local fans is fantastic. You feel that they are so, even being far away, they are so close.โ

Xabi Alonso clearly has so much faith in Austin MacPhee, that while he worked on the attacking shape with his forwards, he let MacPhee lead the set-piece drills and just get on with the job.
MacPhee was already bossing the Chelsea players about. Alonsoโs new set-piece coach, just hours after the club confirmed his arrival, walked around the packed penalty area at one end of the Stadium, notepad in one hand, the other pointing and gesturing, as the huddle of players crowded around him and hung on his every word.
So drilled does MacPhee want his players to be that even after the long hours honing the moves on the training pitch, he sends his players home with animations of the individual movements sent to their phones.

๐จ๐ฃ๏ธ Joao Pedro: "I think because I used to play as a 10, so I try to stay more central. Sometimes I move a lot because if I don't touch the ball, I don't feel like I'm in the game."
"I just try to focus on what I can improve, because everyone knows how it is in football: one day you are God, the other day everyone wants to kill you. So, I just try to focus on what I can improve and try to work harder."
