βI think having a tiny taste [of match action] at the end of last season really gave me that extra motivation to come back to pre-season with that fire in my belly. Iβm ready to go again now and push on from here.
βIt was a really difficult time for me, with the injury. It happened on the first day of pre-season last year, and it was really tough to get my head around. Iβm a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, so I just tried to take it in my stride and work my hardest to get back.
βThankfully Iβm back now, and I feel like Iβm a stronger person mentally and physically, and I feel like Iβm a better person for it.β

Chelsea are exploring a move to sign Danny Welbeck from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 35-year-old striker has 12 months left on his contract and Brighton are aware of the interest.
As a player and a leader, Welbeck appeals to Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso and β although the situation remains at an early stage β there is optimism on all sides that a deal could be done.
Chelsea have several strikers on their books, but the club will listen to offers for Liam Delap and Emmanuel Emgeha, while Marc Guiu is expected to depart either on loan or permanently.
