Chelsea have added England international John Stones to the list of centre-backs they are considering signing this summer.
Stones is available as a free agent after his contract expired at @Manchester_City.

Chelsea have opened talks with Under-21 striker Shumaira Mheuka over a new contract and want to get an agreement in place before sending him out on loan.
Mheukaβs current deal runs out next year, although it does include an option to extend anyway, but Chelsea want to reward him for his progress with a long-term contract as well as making sure he stays at Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old has already made nine appearances for the first team. He was named the Premier League 2 Player of the season for 2025-26 after scoring 18 goals in 19 appearances.
It is understood has been finalised yet, but things are progressing well, and there is a confidence that it will be formalised soon.
