Everton are progressing in talks to sign Chelsea forward Tyrique George on a permanent deal.
The 20-year-old joined Everton on loan in February. That deal included a Β£25 million option to make the move permanent, which was not taken up by Everton.
However, George may still complete a permanent move to Goodison Park.
It is understood talks between Chelsea and Everton remain ongoing and could conclude by the end of this week. Everton will pay less up front than the option, but add-ons will take it close to the original Β£25m Chelsea were originally requesting.
