𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐄𝐑 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆S:

✍️ by vikramjajuha

STARTING XI:

Sanchez - 5: Hopeless distribution from a player who looks devoid of confidence.

Gusto - 5: Dealt well 1v1 against Doku but inability to defend his back post on full display again.

Fofana - 4: Sloppy passing coupled with an uninspiring and soulless display off the ball.

Hato - 5: Started well with his passing and looked sharp in duels but lacked any presence in the second half.

Cucurella - 6: Unlucky to have his first half goal disallowed, still did his bit defensively.

Caicedo - 4: Yet again looked a shadow of his usual self from last season. Gifted City’s third goal.

Santos - 5: Managed to get a foothold in midfield from the off, but got overran and bullied with ease in the second half.

Estevao - 4: Tried to cause havoc but struggled to impose anything of note other than a petulant yellow card.

Palmer - 6: Looked lively at times but another one of many who struggled to make anything happen.

Neto - 5: Halted numerous counter attacks and lacked real quality 1v1 - a consistent theme this season.

J.Pedro - 5: Huge ask of him to thrive against City’s centre backs - failed to bail Chelsea out this time.

SUBSTITUTES:

Lavia - 5: Came on to add more balance but didn’t have much involvement.

Garnacho - 5: Had little to zero involvement.

Delap - N/A

Essugo - N/A

Acheampong - N/A

🗣️ Liam Rosenior on Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat against @Manchester_City [H] in the Premier League:

😤 “Massively disappointing, especially from our first half performance. But it’s happened too many times [that we’ve conceded two goals in quick succession].

“Man City start the second half better than us; that can happen against a good team. But what you can’t do is concede two goals in the manner that we did, so quickly after one another.

“Again, it comes down to resilience in difficult moments and seeing those moments through and making sure you’re still in the game.

“I felt in the first half, in our defensive structure, we were organised and difficult to break down. We had transition moments and looked to press.

“ [Marc] Cucurella’s goal, it’s maybe an inch [offside]. I don’t even know how close it is to be honest, but they’ve made their decision.

“I don’t wanna talk about the positives, though, as the reality is that too many times in a short space of time we’ve gone a goal down and then it’s quickly followed by another. That’s something that just can’t happen moving forward.”

🚨❗️Chelsea maintain they want to back and trust Liam Rosenior! This is the message from the club. They don't forget he arrived in January, so no pre-season or preparation.

Chelsea have lost three consecutive Premier League games without scoring for the first time since March 1998. A run of 345 minutes without a goal.

The Blues have also lost back-to-back Premier League games by 3+ goals for the first time since February 2018 under Antonio Conte [0-3 vs Bournemouth, 1-4 vs Watford].

🚨 Eidur Gudjohnsen: “If we had have lost 3-0 at home back in our day, I wouldn’t have slept for four days. They’re too easy to play against and I think it comes down to character. Is there anyone who actually loves this club?

“In the second half, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Chelsea team with such an inferiority in the physical part of the game. Men vs talents. Who do they look up to up to, to get you inspired?

“Enzo has spoken with me, the leadership group and all of the players and so now we look forward to welcoming him back”.

“He wanted to have a conversation with the leadership group, and he wanted to speak to the players”, says Liam Rosenior…

‼️ Chelsea maintain that they want to back and trust the manager. This is the message coming from the club.

It’s a difficult moment, for sure, but they don’t forget that the manager arrived in January. And so it’s not the same as having pre-season and preparing your own team. This is what ChelseaYouTub

‼️The moment, the message coming from Chelsea, even after the bad defeat against @Manchester_City, is that they want to trust this manager.

Obviously we’re in a results industry. It’s an industry always linked to results. So we have to understand how the end of the season will go for Chelsea.

Chelsea executives awarded themselves huge pay rises last season, despite the club posting record losses. Senior figures saw their earnings jump by nearly 80% compared to the previous year, with directors receiving close to a 60% increase.

Meanwhile, the rest of the staff, including players, only saw a modest 6% rise. [siphillipssport]

Understand no TikTok posts have been deleted by Garnacho- he hasn’t posted on the account since joining CFC. Nothing cryptic with @ManchesterUnited repost (was to do with his recent interview talking about his time at MUFC). Garnacho has Chelsea-related bio and pic, as has been the case for a while
