🤝 “The goal we conceded was the turning point. Until we conceded that goal, for one hour of the game, we were in complete control.

“But it [the reaction to conceding] isn’t the first time it’s happened. Even if we are winning and concede a goal, we struggle a little with the management of the game. It’s something we need to improve.

“It’s difficult to analyse because we need to understand why, when we concede a goal, we struggle to manage the game in a better way.

“It can be experience, or it can be something else, but we need to analyse and understand that.”

Chelsea will launch an investigation after Aston Villa reported that a bottle was thrown at its bench at Stamford Bridge following Saturday night’s meeting between the sides.

As the full-time whistle was blown, a plastic bottle was hurled at the Villa bench, showering substitutes and staff in water.

One member of the Villa staff seemed to signal that he saw where the bottle came from. It appeared to be tossed from the side of the Chelsea dug-out, but on Saturday night there was no confirmation of where exactly the bottle was thrown from.

Chelsea will cooperate with Villa and potentially the authorities to try to find out exactly where the bottle was thrown and who threw it. The London club have not commented, but are understood to take a dim view of such an incident.

It remains to be seen whether or not the incident is included in referee Stuart Atwell's report, with CCTV likely to be checked to try to determine how it happened.

Chelsea defender Jorrel Hato is Ajax’s number one left-back choice in January, however it is unclear if the Blues would be willing to loan him back just yet.

Chelsea have also filled all six of their permitted international loan spots, which Fifa rules limit for overseas moves.
