STARTING XI:

Sanchez - 7: Commanded his box, but didn’t have to do much since Wolves didn’t get a shot on target.

Gusto - 7.5: Scored his first goal ever in his professional career. Seemed tired throughout the game, most likely from the knock in the first half.

Fofana - 7.5: Dominated the opposition with his aggression.

Chalobah - 7.5: Clean-sheet and was fantastic in build-up play.

Cucurella - 7: Was everywhere tonight in defence, midfield and attack.

Caicedo - 7: Great tackles, but lost half his duels and got a yellow card after losing the ball.

Fernandez - 8: Created a big chance and two key passes. Was always a threat in attack. Unlucky not to score or assist.

Neto - 8: Never gets tired, provided two key passes and a goal.

J.Pedro - 7.5: Scored, provided two key passes, but still lacked a consistent creativity level.

Garnacho - 9 [MOTM]: Two beautiful assists and his best performance since he arrived. If he didn’t miss that big chance in the first half, and passed to Delap on the counter in the second half, he wouldve gotten even higher.

Delap - 6: Good physical presence, but should have done more in attack.

SUBSTITUTES:

Estevao - 7.5: Came in and immediately contributed to the second goal.

James - 7: Didn’t have much to do, but was solid in his minutes.

Guiu - 5.5: Great pressure on the defenders and GK, but missed two huge chances.

🤝 “We are happy with the performance.

“I was very worried before the game because these are always tricky matches, but in the first half and second half, we created so many chances and didn’t concede anything.

“Even in the first half, I was happy with the performance, and the difference between the first and second halves is that in the second we scored goals and in the first we missed many chances.

“You need to be clinical, otherwise the game is always open and anything can happen. In the second half, we scored three goals, could’ve scored more.”
