STARTING XI:
Sanchez - 4.5: Clumsy in possession on multiple passes. Weak hands on the corner leading to the Wolves goal just before half. Had a better second half with a couple of saves and improved distribution.
James - 8: Calming presence when playing out of pressure. Put the ball into the danger area leading to the first goal. Good positioning and strength defensively.
Tosin - 8.5: Opened the scoring with a poacherโs finish early on. Very calm on the ball at the back striding past multiple players at times. Well positioned and strong defensively.
Chalobah [MOTM] - 8.5: Formed an excellent partnership with Tosin. Multiple key blocks and tackles throughout. Assisted the third goal with a header that would have scored. Brilliant return to the Blues.
Cucurella - 7.5: Broke the deadlock with a brilliant late run and finish. Poor on the ball in the first half, but improved in the second.
Caicedo - 7: Sets the standard for work rate until the last minute. Gave the ball away cheaply in midfield multiple times.
Dewsbury-Hall - 6.5: Provided a vital flick after a dangerous run to assist the second goal. Could have been involved more going forward. Good work rate defensively.
Palmer - 7.5: The grease in Chelseaโs engine. Crucial for transitioning the ball from defense to attack and from wing to wing. Great delivery for the third goal.
Neto - 4.5: Did not put the defence under enough pressure with his play in the final third. Poor crossing and not enough direct play to goal.
Madueke - 7: Great delivery to Dewsbury-Hall to create the second goal. Well positioned to tap home the third on the Chalobah header. Very dynamic throughout attacking Wolves players on the wings and in behind.
Jackson - 5: Never quits, but he looks lost for confidence. Unable to create any dangerous chances for himself or others. Needs a goal or a rest soon.
SUBSTITUTES:
Sancho - N/A
Disasi - N/A
Gusto - N/A
Felix - N/A

Enzo Maresca on Chelseaโs 3-1 win over Wolves [H] in the Premier League:
๐ค โI think in the five games where we didnโt win, the performance was always there. The problem has been in the box where we could have been a little more clinical. Tonight it was important that we won the game.
โFor the first 40 mins, the team were brilliant. We scored a goal, we created chances, and then the same thing happened as in the last four or five games, where when we conceded, we lost a little bit of confidence.
โIn the second half, we again controlled the game, we scored twice, we could have scored more, and we are happy with the three points.
โIt is very important to win always but especially after five games without a win. It was not easy. Again, we scored first and then they drew level but the reaction was much, much better.โ

โAbsolutely [it is good to have him back]. He was very good and I have said already that the reason he is back is because we are sure he is going to help us and tonight he showed exactly what he is capable of doing.
โFirstly, he is a strong defender. He is quick, he can defend in behind, he can defend forward, he is aggressive, but we already knew that, which is the reason we called him back.โ
