STARTING XI:
Sanchez - 7: Sloppy pass in first half which couldβve cost a goal. Couldnβt have done much more with both conceded. Made an important save in the second half.
Caicedo - 6.5: Did well on and off the ball in first half but Lavia coming off didnβt help him. Conceded the penalty.
Acheampong - 6.5: Plenty of positives and lessons to take against tricky opponents. Good forward play from the back, particularly in the first half.
Colwill - 7: Couldβve done better defensively but did play on with a knock.
Cucurella - 7: Brilliant first half, won his duels and didnβt show any vulnerability 1v1.
Lavia - 7: Was fantastic up until moment of losing ball leading to penalty Caicedo conceded.
Enzo - 8: Created 7 chances and made some important tackles to win the ball back in good areas. Put in a shift off the ball too, couldnβt have really done much more.
Madueke - 6.5: Needed to show more end product when 1v1 but deserved an assist in the first half.
Palmer - 8: Composure personified for his goal but eased off in the second half.
Sancho - 7.5: Another who had a fantastic first half but impact lessened slightly in second. Was direct and a joy to watch.
Jackson - 6.5: Quality assist for Palmerβs goal but shouldβve scored two. Same story again.
SUBSTITUTES:
James - 8: Didnβt put a foot wrong in midfield and produced a moment of magic with a free kick in the final moments of the game.
Tosin - 7: Added much needed composure and nous at the back. Made an important block and nearly scored a great header.
Felix - 7: Showed quality on the ball, picked up some good positions.
Neto - 5: Continues to disappoint playing off the right flank.

βI am very happy for him, he deserved that after a difficult moment. It also gave us the point so I am happy for him and I am happy for us.
βI am so happy for him that he had this moment and the target for him now is to be fit until the end [of the season] and for him to help us in the way we want to play.
βReece can compare with Cole [Palmer] in terms of free-kicks because he is very good.
βWe decided for Reece and he scored and we are all happy because at least we took a point.β
π€·ββοΈ ππ§ ππ‘π π©ππ«ππ¨π«π¦ππ§ππ:
βIt was probably one of our best first halves of the season. The way we were playing on the ball and off the ball, the way we created so many chances, we had around 15 shots, and the first half has to finish with a different score because at least 2-0 was what we deserved.
βThen in the second half, after the penalty, we dropped a little bit and we probably need to understand the reason why.
βThe feeling is like a little bit of a shame because when you play the way you played in the first half, where we played really, really good, you need to be clinical.β

BREAKING: Chelsea have activated a clause to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace.

Chelsea have activated a clause to recall Trevoh Chalobah from his loan spell at Crystal Palace.
Chalobah joined Palace on a season-long deal that included an option for Chelsea to bring him back at the midway point.
They have now triggered that mechanism and the 25-year-old defender will return to Stamford Bridge with immediate effect.
Chalobahβs impressive form β and availability to help a back line depleted by injury β means he is expected to play an important role under Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca in the second half of the campaign.
A good relationship between all parties helped facilitate the transfer originally and there is appreciation at Chelsea for Palaceβs handling of the matter.

Chelsea are in negotiations with the Premier League to agree a financial settlement for secret payments related to transfers made during Roman Abramovichβs ownership.
The club are understood to be in talks over a financial settlement rather than a sporting sanction such as a points deduction, on the basis that the new owners discovered the payments during the May 2022 takeover process and reported them to the Premier League and Uefa.
The outcome of the negotiations is expected before the end of March, with the club confident there can be an agreement similar to the Β£8.6million financial settlement made with Uefa in Julv 2023.
