I was sat here thinking to myself "what would I look like with a broken ankle?" And lo and behold, I have an answer!

I made a model of my leg for patterning the Beakaboo leg sleeves, did not consider that I now have to have this cursed item around the place...

The word of the day is Zygodactyl! Did you know parrots have two front toes and two back toes? Wild right? Imagine my face when I first designed the foot to have three front toes and discovered this. The shame I would have felt, all the parrot experts at the furry gathering would have bullied me 😵

Anyway here's the carved foam foot for Beakaboo! I'm pretty happy with the shape. Next up is adding talons and then patterning it out for the rest of the leggy 🦜

Oh my goodness, you have no idea how much maths went into these stripes. Maybe soon I can actually sew something???? Perhaps????

It has been a little while! I have been moving, so my sewing projects have had to take a little hiatus 😭. I'm back now though! With a brand new (already messy) space dedicated solely to sewing! So you can expect some progress on Beakaboo v soon! 🐤🐤🐤

In the meantime I've got a little normie sewing project to get myself back in the groove. Much like Austin Powers in Austin Powers 2, I need to go on a quest to get my mojo back, and for me this involves sewing some curtain extensions.

Mostly because of how close I am to finishing these! 🐓🐾

Last touches are the soles, applying the blackout illusions to the sides and maybe redoing the entire cuff because I like causing trouble for myself 😅

If there's one thing I know about clowns, it's that being naked is probably not okay???? So despite my natural instincts, I have started making my clowny outfit 🤡.

Here's a quick shirt I made out of a pack of pastel coloured shirts (I couldn't decide which colour I liked, so I picked them all!) 🌈

Forgive the terrible photo, but these tailfeathers are coming along! The foam feathers will eventually be covered in a matching yellow minky.

I made up a test lil confetti spiral too and I am OBSESSED. Gonna tuck a few of these in between the feathers to give him some bounce 🎉

I love just hacking into a block of foam and seeing where it takes me, but this time a more planned approach felt necessary! I'm no artist but this'll be roughly what I'm going for, head-wise 🙂
