The Russian negotiating group was headed by the Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Igor Kostyukov. The Ukrainian side of the trilateral working group was led by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov.

Also, the second day of talks on Ukraine in Abu Dhabi was again held behind closed doors, without the press, by agreement of all three parties.
