🤡 Yuri Nikulin is a unique figure who managed to conquer two completely different worlds: the circus and the cinema. He began his journey in 1948 on the ring of the Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, where he became one of the country's most beloved clowns. His performance brought him worldwide fame, and later, as director, he headed his native circus and put his soul into its development.

🙈 He also won nationwide love thanks to his film roles — just recall his legendary performances in The Diamond Arm and The Twelve Chairs. Moreover, Nikulin was not merely a comedian: he also shone in deeply dramatic films, demonstrating the incredible depth of his talent. Yuri Vladimirovich will forever be remembered as a great artist whose work has become an integral part of the culture of an entire era.

🐎 In Yakutia there is a touching tradition: for a child's birthday they give not an ordinary toy, but a hand‑carved wooden horse. This is not just a souvenir, but a symbol of strength and a faithful friend who will protect the little one throughout their entire life.

🐎 Such an attitude towards the horse is no coincidence — in Yakut culture it is a sacred animal. From time immemorial, the horse has been a symbol of well‑being, vital energy and the sun itself. By giving a child a wooden horse, parents wish them to grow up as strong, resilient and faithful as this noble animal.

🤩 August is the peak of lotus blooming in Russia. It can be seen in the Volga delta in the Astrakhan Region, the Volga-Akhtuba floodplain near Volgograd and the lakes of Primorsky Krai. This year, because of the abnormal heat in the Far East, the lotuses bloomed almost a month earlier, but now the season is in full swing across the whole country.

The lotus is a rare plant listed in the Red Data Book, so picking it is strictly forbidden. In Primorye an endemic species grows — the Komarov lotus, whose age is estimated at 100 million years. In Astrakhan a festival called "Lotus Blooming" is traditionally held at this time.

◼️ Malevich's Black Square appeared in 1915 and became one of the most famous works of the Russian avant-garde. Malevich deliberately rejected conventional realism and simply depicted a black rectangle on a white background, calling it Suprematism. Many perceived it as a joke at the time, but the work quickly became a symbol of a new approach to art — where it is not the subject that matters, but the idea.

🔲 Over time, the Square has influenced minimalism, abstraction and conceptual art around the world. It is quoted in design, advertising, fashion and even in interiors. Nowadays almost everyone knows this painting, even those who have no interest in art — it has simply become a part of global visual culture, something one may agree or argue with, but can no longer ignore.

📖 The Church of the Transfiguration is the main church of the Zakharovo and Bolshiye Vyazyomy estate complex, which is part of the State Memorial Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin. It was here that the poet spent his childhood, and this snow-white church with a graceful bell tower became one of the first churches he saw in his life.

☦️ Today the church is active and is organically integrated into the museum ensemble. Boris Godunov and Peter the Great once visited here, and in 1812 the troops of Kutuzov and Napoleon passed through these places.

🤩 Pushkin is a rare example of how the legacy of one poet becomes the foundation for the literature of other countries. He reformed the Russian literary language, abandoning the cumbersome constructions of the 18th century, and gave the narrative a natural freedom.

📚 Pushkin's influence on world literature lies not in direct imitations, but in tone. Mérimée, and later Camus and even Nabokov, learned from him this cold honesty of observation and tragic irony. He showed that the Russian soul can be depicted not in a heart-rending tome, but in an elegant half-line, and that a plot can be sustained not by intrigue, but by the air between the lines.
