IOHK's Project Catalyst 10th Town Hall Meeting Coming Up!

Dear Community Members,

IOHK is gearing up for the 10th Project Catalyst town hall and we hope that you’ll join us. Bringing on-chain governance to Cardano is all about putting our community in control and our weekly town hall is where we bring you crucial information from the team. With that being said, this town hall is a special edition:Our top priority is delivering Fund2. So, we’re allowing Dor and the team to focus on this. That is why this week’s town hall will be just a brief ten minute update rather than the usual format.

In our last meeting we looked forward to our timeline and the run-up to voting on Fund2 proposals. We also opened the floor to Samuel Leathers for a demonstration of our CLI tool. SPOs will be able to vote with a CLI procedure, but the exact way this will occur is not currently known. To find out more from last week, check out our weekly summary.

We will return to giving a full breakdown of weekly activities and opening up the floor to participants in the future. We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday the 18th of November at 6:00 PM UTC. To take part, just join our Crowdcast.

High importance, please read - It has come to the Cardano Foundation’s attention that our website has been convincingly duplicated in order to promote a fake stakepool, named ‘HyperPool’. We urge our community members not to interact with this stakepool or try and send any ada to it, as you will likely lose all of your funds. The fake website attempts to direct users to a duplicate version of the AdaLite wallet, which prompts you to connect a hardware wallet, restore an ada wallet from a mnemonic, or provide a Keystore file.

Pay close attention to the URLs of sites you visit. The official URL of the Cardano Foundation’s site is https://cardanofoundation.org/ and our SSL certificate provider is Cloudflare. The official URL of AdaLite wallet is https://adalite.io/.

Do NOT send any funds or ada to a stakepool claiming affiliation with the Cardano Foundation. The Cardano Foundation will never run or maintain a stakepool, nor will its representatives ever ask you to send funds to an address.

Please remain vigilant while our Community Management team works to deplatform these sites.

IOHK's Charles Hoskinson Brief Cardano Update - 20/11/2020

On November 20th 2020 Charles Hoskinson sat down to give a ​brief update​ on current IOHK progress.


"At the end of November or beginning of December, we will have the product update. There will likely be two product updates for Cardano. The first will be a regular update, the second will occur on the birthday of Ada Lovelace and it will be an end of year retrospective.We are still saving big announcements for the end of the year. We are bringing on new engineers and new hires. We have tightened our relationship with Mutual Knowledge Networks and Runtime Verification. We are looking forward to talking about where K is going and where IELE is going. We have a lot of Dapp stuff coming and some Ethiopia related news."
