The issue is simple, scale and cost.
Scale needs to be 10 billion tps and up.
Cost needs to be under 0.001 US cents a standard tx.
Nothing else matters, cost always wins in the long term.
The best technology always wins, but, you don't choose the needs of others, so cannot set what is the "best"
Beta vs VHS...
VHS was by far superior. It allowed a movie or a full football game, with Beta, you needed to change tapes.
Arguments of pixel count are meaningless. The system played on a TV. The VHS system did the requirements for pixels, saying Beta could do more, so what....
You are displaying on a TV.
The entire best technology does not win Argument was always just an anti innovation, anti capitalism attack.

Solon believed that law should be set in stone and enacted legislation that was carved into stone pillars and was argued to be able to remain in force for at least a century without change. Solon left Greece so that people would think for themselves and that they couldn’t beg him to change the law.
In some ways, this mirrors the condition of how bitcoin was founded. The creation of rules were done in a way that was supposedly set in stone but as with Solon, other people took charge and changed the rules. In the time of Solon, there was a lack of literacy and people needed to employ others to interpret the writing in the stone. In regards to bitcoin, the development teams used the mythology of how difficult bitcoin was to promote the concept of it being out of the understanding of average people.
“When he had completed his organisation of the Constitution in the manner that had been described, he found himself beset by people coming to him and harassing him concerning his laws, criticising here and questioning there, till, as he wished neither to alter what he had decided on nor yet be an object of ill will to everyone by remaining in Athens, he set off on a journey to Egypt… Giving out that he should not return for ten years”

2020. (2030)
10 billion TPS
Average fee, 0.001 US cents
That is my one real promise
Script
Able to naked transactions
That can sit 200 years and remain valid
Boring, Don't care
Everything ETH can do... but, 10,000 plus x cheaper
I know, boring
2030 10b tps
