When I was with the ASX (Stock Exchange) we had HP systems from the 80s and VAX systems from the 70s operating in the 2000s.

They worked, and, these allowed a 99.999999 uptime.

Many devs look at this and scoff. However, the desired goal was a reliable system. This was achieved.

The silicone Valley version of code is more problematic. Google has gone down multiple times despite 100x the level of server redundancy as the ASX. Facebook, the same.

But, global money and an underlying control system needs to be designed with not 6 9s but 9 x9 reliability. Any downtime must be seen as a true black Swan once in a 500 year event.

That is the Core of bitcoin, and no Silicone Valley designer will ever understand that.

It is engineered for stability. In this, change is not an option.

Terra node is a means to scale, but it does not change any part of the protocol.

The node consensus protocol will remain, and nodes voted just beef up hardware to try to keep up. It is faster, not different.

The last sentence of the WP references law, through rules. This is not a change, the nodes could assign a tx differently on Jan 3, 2009. This does not impact an transactions ever created.

I talk of bonds and other financial instruments from time to time.

Many bonds have a 20, 50 and at times longer schedule.

If the protocol changes, these may stop working. So, these don't ever get issued.

Re writing these is not desirable. What is the use of a platform that changes every year yo system that requires multi decade stability.

Collectivist ideas appeal to the masses, of those who think they are without identity and without worth. The collective, like the Spartan’s society promises a place. In this, the little people, the masses of those who achieve nothing or close to develop a belief that they will form their identity through the group and in that they will be strong. They believe they will say that they are Spartans and people will fear and think them strong.
The problem, the collective doesn’t want the weak for anything other than pawns. The Spartans have the helots. In every society that is collectivist will always have those who are strong at the top and everyone else oppressed below. It is very equal, nearly everyone is the same. But those who are not the same are immensely more than anything that the masses could imagine. Just like communism, collectivist communities of all types separated to a hierarchy that is beyond anything that people can imagine in a capitalist system. It is not just meritocracy but ruled by the most corrupt, sneakist or the most brutal or a combination of those.

The actions of those truckers are ones that take their views into account at the expense of everything else in society and every other part of infrastructure and every institution. They are actions that don’t care about the other individuals that are hurt. Anarchy is not a solution. Anarchy just causes more of a problem and will bring in a collectivist backlash. These people are not helping create freedom, they are part of the problem and they are leading towards a government crackdown and they are giving people everything they need to do it.

ThisThe path to freedom starts with rational ideas and logic. It starts with people talking. It starts with a valid cogent arguments from people who value freedom and are willing to risk themselves for it and these people are not risking themselves. Rather, these people think that they gain anonymity as part of a mass. They think that in anarchy they are safe. This is exactly the worst thing that could be happening. This is creating anarchy and calling it freedom.

Actions of of this group have not helped anybody. They have not solved anything. Rather millions who had nothing to do with this are now under the thumb of government because of this group. This is not freedom, it is anarchy.

Freedom comes from rational logical thought and argument. It does not come at the barrel of a gun. Even when taken in revolution, freedom is only and exclusively only ever created by those who think rationally and logically.

The American colonies had people who were rational logical thinkers. After their actions to settle the future, they formed a peaceable government. They were based on rational thought.

The French went through the same thing. They base their ideas on the romantic concepts of Rousseau. Death, blood and murder followed.
