SILVER

Before the 1900’s silver was extensively used in medicinal therapy.

You will be intrigued upon hearing the following:
SILVER

Long before antibiotics, silver was used in medicine and hospitals for its antimicrobial effects — especially on wounds, surgical materials, and sometimes medical surfaces.
Before the 1900s, documented uses included:
Applying silver compounds (especially silver nitrate) directly to wounds and ulcers
Using silver wire sutures in surgery because they caused fewer infections than silk or catgut
Using thin “silver leaf” or silver foil dressings on infected wounds
Sterilizing or preserving liquids in silver containers
Later in the 1800s, using silver solutions in hospitals as antiseptics
By the late 19th century, surgeons were using silver sutures specifically to reduce postoperative infection.

Silver was commonly used on wounds, in sutures, dressings, and antiseptic solutions.

There are also scattered historical references to silver-plated medical tools were silver plated. Fabrics and dressings contained silver threads.
The reason silver was valued is that silver ions inhibit bacterial growth.
Empirically they noticed wounds treated with silver often smelled less foul and became infected less often.
Silver remained one of the main antimicrobial treatments until antibiotics like penicillin became dominant in the 1940s.
So it’s recorded : Medieval elites avoided plague because of silver plates or that silver cured hundreds of diseases.

INFLAMMATION

Th cause of dis-ease

Here’s a wonderful opportunity to learn how to decrease inflammation in your body.

A free webinar series that looks to present promising information.

I signed up to learn more from several integrative medical doctors.

Consider signing up for a free series called The Anti-Inflammatory Solution. It covers the root causes of chronic inflammation, things like joint pain, fatigue, and gut issues, and what you can actually do about it.

It's free for a limited time, and you can register here: https://antiinflammatorysolution.goodnesslover.com/ Plus, they’re offering a few free eBooks when you sign up. 🙂"

Suggested Alternatives to Teflon cookware:

High quality
Stainless Steel cookware.

Cast Iron cookware was presented as the best to use.

WRONG

I purchased high quality cast iron cookware. I followed the instructions to condition the pans carefully. They seemed great for awhile …

Then black debris came off the cast iron onto the food… yuk !

The pans were reconditioned but no change.

I recommend using quality stainless steel cookware.

NATURAL
ANTI-INFLAMMATORY

Cabbage Leaves

For centuries, breastfeeding mothers and arthritis patients have used Cabbage Leaves to reduce swelling.

A groundbreaking study identified a specific plant microRNA (miR172a) in cabbage.
The Mechanism:
crush the leaf and apply it to the skin, these tiny genetic messengers penetrate and bind to a gene in your body called FAN (Factor Associated with Neutral sphingomyelinase).
This silences the gene responsible for triggering inflammation.

Studies show it is as effective as Voltarén (Diclofenac) gel for Osteoarthritis, without the side effects.
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

This is a good household cleanser and useful for personal care.
FOLIC ACID DANGERS

Folic Acid vs. Folate:

They're NOT the Same

- the difference matters more than you know.

FOLATE is the natural form of vitamin B9 found in leafy greens, liver, eggs, and legumes
The name comes from the Latin word folium, meaning "leaf," because that's where it belongs: in food.

FOLIC ACID
- a synthetic
compound invented in 1943 that doesn't exist in nature.

Pregnancy Concern:

What Every Mom Needs to Know

To Clarify:

adequate folate status is NOT the same as
folic acid supplements.

Two major studies have found concerning links between high folic acid exposure and neurodevelopmental outcomes:

The evidence is clear:

Here’s the issue:

Your body can only process ~200 mcg of folic acid per day.

The DHFR enzymes becomes saturated at this threshold
- DHFR - the key enzyme in folate metabolism that helps the body convert folic acid into forms the body can use

Everything above 200 mcg of folic acid accumulates as unmetabolized folic acid (UMFA) in your bloodstream

Folic acid accumulates in over 95% of Americans:

- suppresses immune function
- blocks brain folate transport
- masks B12 deficiency, - concerning associations with neurodevelopmental outcomes in children.

Meanwhile, natural folate forms
—methylfolate and folinic acid—provide all the benefits without these risks.

Researchers were explicit:

Higher concentrations of cord UMFA—but not natural folate—were associated with greater AUTISM RISK

… Your baby gets UMFA in the womb, through breast milk, and in every bottle of formula—during the most critical window of brain development.

UMFA blocks real folate from entering your brain - 95% of Americans have detectable UMFA in their blood -—essentially blocking the doorway.
