Strikes on Civilian Infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia: May 15–16, 2025 CIT Volunteer Summary

Over the past 24 hours, at least 9 civilians were killed and 43 others were injured as a result of strikes.

In the Kharkiv region, a woman was killed and four men were injured in a UAV strike on the town of Kupiansk. A civilian woman was injured in an airstrike on the village of Malyi Burluk. A man was wounded in an MLRS strike on Kupiansk, and three civilians were injured in a strike on the village of Kutkivka.

In the Donetsk region, a civilian was killed in an airstrike on the town of Oleksandro-Kalynove. One person was injured by air-dropped bombs in the village of Novodmytrivka. A civilian was injured in the town of Kostiantynivka as a result of UAV strikes and shelling. Another civilian was wounded in the town of Pokrovsk, and one person was injured in the village of Yampil. A person was injured in a UAV attack on the village of Andriivka. Five civilians were wounded in a strike on Pokrovsk. Two men were killed and three women injured in UAV attacks on Kostiantynivka.

In the Kherson region, a man was injured in a strike on the village of Bilozerka. A civilian was wounded by a drone-dropped munition in the village of Antonivka. In the town of Beryslav, one man was killed and two civilians were injured by drone-dropped munitions. Three employees of the city’s military-civilian administration were injured during an attack on Kherson. A married couple was wounded by a drone-dropped munition in Kherson, and five more civilians were injured in UAV and artillery attacks across several districts of the city.

In the Odesa region, three people were injured in UAV raids on the Odesa and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.

In the occupied territory of the Kherson region, two people were killed in an attack on the town of Velyka Lepetykha and the village of Rybalche. A woman was killed in the shelling of the village of Mala Lepetykha.

In the Belgorod region, Russia, two men were injured in a UAV attack on the town of Shebekino. A driver was wounded when a UAV struck a minibus in the village of Yasnye Zori. Strikes on Civilian Infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia: May 16-18, 2025 CIT Volunteer Summary

Over the weekend, at least 16 civilians were killed and 48 others were injured as a result of strikes.

In the Kyiv region, a woman was killed and three civilians, including a four-year-old child, were injured in a UAV strike in the Obukhivskyi district.

In the Sumy region, nine civilians were killed and seven more were injured when a UAV strike hit a passenger minibus in the town of Bilopillia.

In the Kharkiv region, one person was injured in a strike and three others were injured in an airstrike on the city of Kupiansk.

In the Donetsk region, one civilian was injured in a combined strike on the town of Lyman. One person was injured in the shelling of the town of Myrnohrad. A woman was killed in a combined strike on the village of Yablunivka. Five people, including a child, were wounded in a UAV attack on the village of Andriivka. Two more people were injured in a strike on the town of Pokrovsk.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, two women were injured in a combined strike on the Synelnykove district.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, three women were injured in a UAV attack on the town of Orikhiv.

In the Kherson region, a man was injured in a UAV strike on the town of Beryslav. A civilian was killed by a drone-dropped explosive in the village of Novotiahynka. A man was injured in a UAV attack on the village of Tomyna Balka. In the city of Kherson, a man was wounded by the detonation of an anti-personnel mine, six civilians were injured in UAV attacks, and one person was wounded in shelling. A woman was injured by an unidentified explosive device in the village of Novooleksandrivka. One person was killed by a drone-dropped explosive in the village of Vesele.

In the occupied territories of the Donetsk region, one man was killed and another was injured by the detonation of an explosive device in the village of Volodymyrivka. A man and a woman were injured in an MLRS strike on the town of Svitlodarsk.

In the occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, two civilians were injured in a missile attack on the town of Vasylivka.

In the occupied territories of the Kherson region, a man was injured in a strike on the town of Nova Kakhovka.

In the Kursk region, Russia, a woman was killed by a drone-dropped munition in the village of Pody.

Over the past 24 hours, at least 3 civilians were killed and 35 others were injured as a result of strikes.

In the Sumy region, a man was injured in a mortar strike on the Esman community, and a factory security guard was injured in a UAV raid on the Shostka community.

In the Kharkiv region, two women were injured in an airstrike on the village of Staroverivka.

In the Donetsk region, a civilian was injured in an attack on the town of Myrnohrad. A woman and a man were injured in an airstrike on the village of Illinivka. Two civilians were wounded in an airstrike on the city of Kramatorsk. A woman was killed in the shelling of the town of Siversk. One civilian was injured in an the shelling of the town of Kostiantynivka. Two people were injured in a vehicle strike in the town of Lyman.

In the Kherson region, a man wounded in the May 18 attack on the city of Kherson sought medical attention. A woman was killed and three civilians were injured during the shelling of the city. Two civilians were injured in drone-dropped munitions strikes in Kherson. A tractor driver was injured in a UAV strike on a farm between the villages of Kostyrka and Novoraisk.

In the occupied territories of the Donetsk region, two men were injured by the detonation of an unidentified explosive device in the village of Mykolaivka. A man was injured in the shelling of the village of Velyka Novosilka.

In the occupied territories of the Kherson region, two firefighters were injured in a UAV attack on the village of Stara Maiachka. A man was injured in an attack on the town of Nova Kakhovka.

In the Kursk region, Russia, a man was injured in a UAV attack on the village of Kekino.

In the Belgorod region, Russia, a woman was killed and two people were injured in UAV attacks on civilian vehicles in the town of Shebekino. Over the past 24 hours, at least 3 civilians were killed and 24 others were injured as a result of strikes.

In the Sumy region, one resident was wounded in a UAV attack on the Esman rural community. Two people sustained injuries in a strike on a humanitarian aid distribution point in the village of Velyka Pysarivka. An attack killed one resident, while an airstrike killed a mother and injured her son in the Yunakivka rural community.

In the Kharkiv region, one civilian was wounded by the detonation of an explosive device in the village of Lukashove. Three people suffered an acute stress reaction due to the shelling of the town of Kupiansk.

In the Kherson region, five people were injured in a UAV attack on a civilian bus and four others were wounded in an artillery strike on the city of Kherson.

In the occupied territories of the Kherson region, one resident sustained injuries in a strike on the town of Nova Kakhovka. One person was injured in an attack on the town of Oleshky.

In the Belgorod region, Russia, two residents were wounded by a drone-dropped munition in the village of Tserkovnyi. A driver sustained injuries in a UAV attack on a civilian vehicle in the village of Nezhegol.

Additionally, a number of new civilian casualties resulting from previous strikes have been reported. In the Donetsk region, one person was injured in a strike on the city of Kramatorsk on May 19. In the Kherson region, one resident was wounded in an attack on the city of Kherson on May 11. It has only been reported that in the Belgorod region, Russia, a person injured in a UAV attack on the village of Rozhdestveno on May 14 has died in the hospital.

In the Chernihiv region, a farm worker was killed by a drone-dropped munition in one of the villages of the Semenivka community.

In the Sumy region, one civilian was injured in a UAV strike on the Seredyna-Buda community, and another person was injured in a UAV attack on the city of Sumy.

In the Kharkiv region, a man was injured in an MLRS strike on the village of Myrne. A couple was injured in an airstrike on the town of Kupiansk, and a woman was injured in an MLRS attack. A woman was injured in a bomb strike on the village of Nechvolodivka. A paramedic of an ambulance crew was injured in the shelling of the village of Borova. A local resident was injured in an MLRS strike on the village of Moskovka. A man was injured in an airstrike on the village of Hrushivka. In the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, a man was killed and two women were injured when a bomb hit a residential building.

In the Donetsk region, a civilian was injured in a bomb strike on the town of Myrnohrad, and another was injured in an attack on the town of Kostiantynivka.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, two Ukrposhta employees were injured in a drone attack on a company vehicle in the village of Prymorske. A man was also injured in a UAV strike on a residential building.

In the Kherson region, it became known that a man had previously been injured in a UAV strike on the town of Beryslav. Another man who was wounded on May 15 in the village of Berehove due to a mine detonation sought medical attention. Two civilians were injured in drone attacks on the city of Kherson, and a man was wounded in shelling. Five women were injured in UAV strikes on the village of Bilozerka.

In the occupied territories of the Donetsk region, a man was injured when a munition was dropped from a UAV onto a car in the city of Horlivka.

In the occupied territories of the Kherson region, a man was injured in a UAV attack on a hospital in the town of Kakhovka.

In the Kursk region, Russia, a man was injured when he stepped on an unexploded submunition in the village of Korenevo, and another man was wounded in a UAV attack on a car. In the village of Zvannoye, a man was injured in a UAV strike.

In the Belgorod region, Russia, a man was injured in a UAV strike on the village of Golovchino. Another man was injured in a UAV attack on a car in the town of Shebekino.

Additionally, it became known that two more people were injured in the May 20 shelling of Kherson, and three more were injured in the May 19 UAV attack on a car in the town of Shebekino, Belgorod region.

After-Parade Report 2025: 80th Anniversary of Victory. Parades Vehicle Numbers

This is the fourth time Conflict Intelligence Team and volunteers have counted vehicles at May 9 parades across Russia. Previous counts can be found here, here and here. As part of the study, we examined parades in 58 cities, covering nearly all of the major May 9 parades.

The 80th anniversary of the Victory brought changes to what we had observed earlier. Unlike previous years, the main Russian parade on Red Square included a significant number of tracked vehicles. Additionally, the total number of weapons and military vehicles in Moscow increased by 2.5 times compared to the previous year.

The growth in the number of military equipment at the Red Square parade reflects a nationwide trend.

CIT believes that the increase in the number of vehicles involved is primarily due to the anniversary and the need to impress foreign leaders attending the parade in Moscow and ordinary Russians throughout the country.

If the fighting continues, it is quite possible that the number of vehicles on parades will return to previous figures in the next few years.

Over the past 24 hours, at least 8 civilians were killed and 63 others were injured as a result of strikes.

In the Kharkiv region, one person was wounded by the detonation of an explosive device and three others suffered an acute stress reaction following a missile attack on the city of Kharkiv.

In the Donetsk region, one resident was killed and another sustained injuries due to the shelling of the town of Kostiantynivka. Three people were injured in a combined strike on the village of Berestok. One civilian was killed and another was wounded in a UAV attack on the village of Raihorodok.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, one resident sustained injuries in a strike on the village of Prymorske. One person was injured in a UAV attack on the town of Huliaipole. One resident was wounded in a UAV strike on the town of Orikhiv.

In the Kherson region, one person was injured by a drone-dropped munition in the village of Dudchany. One resident was killed in an artillery strike and another was wounded by a drone-dropped munition in the city of Kherson. Two people sustained injuries in a UAV attack on the village of Komyshany. One resident was injured in a strike on the village of Osokorivka. Two civilians were killed due to the shelling of the town of Beryslav. One person was wounded in an artillery strike on the village of Novooleksandrivka.

In the occupied territories of the Donetsk region, eight people sustained injuries in an MLRS strike on the village of Panteleimonivka.

In the occupied territories of the Kherson region, one resident was killed in an attack on the town of Oleshky. One person was injured in a strike on the town of Nova Kakhovka. One civilian was wounded in a mortar strike on the town of Kakhovka.

In the Bryansk region, Russia, one person was killed and another was injured in a wave of UAV attacks on the village of Kamensky Khutor. One resident sustained injuries in a UAV strike on the village of Zapesoche.

In the Kursk region, Russia, the head of the Belovsky district was wounded in a UAV attack on a civilian car. Two people sustained injuries in a UAV strike on the village of Pushkarnoye. One resident was killed and two others were wounded in an attack on the village of Giri. 16 people, including two teenagers, were injured in a missile strike on the town of Lgov.

In the Belgorod region, Russia, three people, including a child, were wounded in a UAV strike on the town of Shebekino.

In the Tula region, Russia, two people sustained injuries in a wave of UAV attacks on the city of Tula.

Additionally, a number of new civilian casualties resulting from strikes on May 21 have been reported. In the Kharkiv region, one more person was injured in a strike on the town of Kupiansk. In the Donetsk region, four residents were wounded in a series of strikes on the town of Kostiantynivka. In the Donetsk region, one resident was killed in a strike on the town of Myrnohrad on May 21, according to police reports. One person was killed and two others were injured in a series of strikes on the town of Pokrovsk. A driver was killed in a UAV attack on a tractor near the village of Nova Balka. One resident sustained injuries in an MLRS strike on the village of Stepanivka. One civilian was killed and another was injured in a series of attacks on the town of Kostiantynivka. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, one resident sustained injuries in an attack on the Nikopol district.

Over the past weekend, at least 27 civilians were killed and 131 others were injured as a result of strikes.

In the Kyiv region, during a massive overnight attack on May 24, 14 people were injured in Kyiv, including 2 teenagers; 2 others were injured in the Brovary district and 1 in the Boryspil district. On the night of May 25, 11 more people were injured in Kyiv, and in several other districts of the region, 4 people were killed and 34 others were injured, including 7 children.

In the Chernihiv region, 1 man was killed in the shelling of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community.

In the Sumy region, a woman was killed and a man was injured in an airstrike on the village of Velyka Pysarivka. A man was killed in a UAV attack on the Buryn community. One resident was killed and another injured in the shelling of the village of Kindrativka.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, three civilians were injured in a UAV attack on the Mezhova rural community.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, a woman and a man were injured in an MLRS strike on the village of Yurkivka.

In the Kherson region, a man sought medical assistance after being injured in an attack on the town of Beryslav on May 22. In the village of Komyshany, two children and their father were injured in a UAV attack. Four more people were injured in the city of Kherson in strikes and drone attacks.

In the Odesa region, a teenager was injured in a drone raid on the village of Velykodolynske.

In the occupied territories of the Kherson region, a woman was injured in an attack on the village of Kniaze-Hryhorivka, and a man was injured in the town of Nova Kakhovka.

In the Belgorod region, Russia, a woman was injured by UAV detonation in the town of Grayvoron, and a couple was injured in a drone strike on the town of Shebekino.

Additionally, it became known that another person was injured in a UAV strike on a residential building in Mykolaiv during the night of May 25.
