🇮🇷⚔️🇺🇸🇯🇴 During the July 12th missile attacks on Jordan, satellite imagery shows extensive damage to a drone hangar at the Prince Hassan airbase. Prince Hassan airbase is the new home of a USAF MQ-4C Triton surveillance drone which has carried out hundreds…
🇮🇷⚔️🇺🇸🇯🇴 Iran successfully chased away the USAF's MQ-4C Triton surveillance drone from the Middle East.

With daily missile attacks on Jordanian bases, the $240 million drone was sent running to the Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella in Sicily, too far for the drone to be able to make surveillance flights on Iran.

The last time the drone was seen on aircraft tracking sites like FlightRadar24 was on July 14th when it was flying towards NAS Sigonella from the Prince Hassan airbase which was attacked multiple times since.

With the erosion of air defenses in Jordan, the U.S. will become even more reliant on bases in Israel and Saudi Arabia which will become crowded meaning in case of an attack, a large portion of these assets will be destro

📝: Kuwait is a logical target for Iran to escalate against.

Of all the Gulf states it seems to be the most willing to allow the US to conduct attacks from its soil, and pre-war it hosted more American forces than any other GCC country.

The Kuwaitis seem less willing than Qatar and the UAE to work with/bribe the Iranians, and Kuwait is a larger threat than Bahrain. It's the logical staging ground for an airborne operation against targets in the Western end of the Persian Gulf, like Kharg.

It should be possible for the Iranians to destroy its power grid, desalination plants, and oil infrastructure, and render any American bases there useless in a reasonable timeframe while only expending SRBMs and drones.

If you wanted to categorize Gulf states into tiers based on their posture towards Iran you could break it down like:

Friendly to Iran: Oman

Willing to cooperate in a limited way, willing to restrain the US in some capacity or bribe Iran: Qatar, UAE, KSA (maybe)

Outright hostile, totally subservient to the US/Israel: Kuwait, Bahrain

Iraq is its own special case and Jordan could go in the hostile category if you consider it a "Gulf state"

🇹🇼🇨🇳⚡️- "Taiwan has decided to award contracts for dozens of sea drones for its Coast Guard, a high-ranking official close to the matter told Nikkei Asia, tapping U.S. technology as it races to strengthen defense and counter China's expanding maritime operations in the region.

The government is set to procure 25 uncrewed surface vessels (USVs) and two unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) for the Coast Guard Administration from the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST), the official said on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter. The government-backed institute will work with U.S. company Maritime Tactical Systems, known as MARTAC, according to the official." - Nikkei Asia.
🇺🇸🇨🇳⚡️- "U.S. Coast Guard ships previously deployed in the Middle East are now operating out of Singapore and the Philippines to help challenge China’s assertion of power in the Pacific.

The six 154-foot fast-response cutters are part of the Coast Guard’s reimagined “expeditionary cutter squadron,” which can be sent anywhere in the world. Their first deployment is the western Pacific, where tensions have run high for years as China escalated what is called a gray-zone campaign to project control around Taiwan and the disputed waters of the South China Sea." - The Wall Street Journal.
📝 🇺🇦 🇷🇺 At Wildberries you can find a military equipment and parts for drones (like optic fiber spools and payload release mechanisms), so than means it's not so "civilian". - CEO of Kaschenka on X

📝 Anon: "We are going to relearn that there isn't much of a difference between the two, just like during the world wars. Now, in a world of fourth generation warfare and dual-use commercial & military items, every civilian contributes to the war effort, and large stores become supply depots. How many commercial ships have been converted into military assets by China, or can be readily converted? How many militaries buy personal goods from Chinese stores? US Wal-Marts even sell firearms, but the point is that much of the gear of soldiers, militants, and enthusiasts around the world is commonly store-bought these days."

📢 🇺🇦 🇷🇺 Volodymyr Zelenskyy on X: "Today, our long-range sanctions worked across three areas on Russian territory, as well as on our temporarily occupied land and at sea. In particular, in response to Russian strikes on our civilian infrastructure and on our cities and communities, two major logistics facilities were hit – in the Moscow and Tambov regions, more than 500 and nearly 700 kilometers from the front line. The aggressor used them to supply sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment. An oil facility was also struck. In addition, Ukrainian mid-range strikes engaged targets in the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, and in our temporarily occupied Crimea."

"I thank the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine – every unit of Ukraine's Defense Forces – for their precise and coordinated execution of these missions. Glory to Ukraine!"
