🇮🇷⚔️🇺🇸🇯🇴 During the July 12th missile attacks on Jordan, satellite imagery shows extensive damage to a drone hangar at the Prince Hassan airbase.

Prince Hassan airbase is the new home of a USAF MQ-4C Triton surveillance drone which has carried out hundreds of flights surveying the Iranian coast throughout the 3rd Gulf War and subsequent spats of violence between Iran and the U.S.

The MQ-4C with the callsign, OVRLD01, used to be based in the Al Dhafra airbase, UAE, before the 3rd Gulf War broke out but was moved out to prevent its destruction. Iran destroyed the hangar which housed it during the conflict.

Observers noticed that the MQ-4C survived the Iranian missile attack and changed its callsign but that its hangar was destroyed yet again and is now rebasing to the Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella in Sicily.

Its possible Iran may have destroyed and/or damaged several Jordanian and/or American fighter jets in the July 12th attack as smoke was visible on satellite imagery coming out of the hangar, meaning that whatever was inside is now gone.

🇮🇷🚫🚢 With the collapse of the Iran-US MoU, commercial vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz collapsed, with 57 verified crossings from July 10th to July 12th, with a 19 daily average, compared to 38 crossings daily on average from days prior.

Virtually all crossings occurred using the Iranian lane showing that Iran has effectively blocked the southern Omani lane. With UKMTO reports on commercial vessels coming under attack in those days, we know that the U.S. unsuccessfully tried to escort three groups of tankers through the southern lane and its unclear how many completed the voyage with at least 5 being disabled by the IRGC.

📝 Anon: Notice how the debate in the war with Iran has shifted from destroying Iran's nuclear program to taking any stopgap measures that have a remote possibility of weakening Iran's control over the Hormuz. U.S. airstrikes against Iranian targets are, however, largely performative as they have been revealed to target previously attacked locations or other targets without any military value, instead of targeting Iran's missile cities.

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇶🇦 The U.S. is repositioning its aerial tankers from Israel's Ben Gurion airport to other bases in the Middle East. Nearly 15 U.S. Air Force aerial refueling aircraft have left Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel and been redeployed to other regional…
🇺🇸🇮🇱 The U.S. has reportedly paused the withdrawal of its aerial refueling aircraft from Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport as tensions with Iran continue to escalate.

The Times of Israel, citing the Israel Airports Authority, reports that the tankers continue to occupy parking space needed for civilian operations, potentially putting up to 50,000 airline tickets at risk of cancellation during the peak summer travel season. The aircraft had begun departing earlier this month after a temporary easing of tensions, but that process has now reportedly been suspended.

At the height of Operation Epic Fury, close to 70 U.S. Air Force aerial refueling aircraft were based out of Ben Gurion.

❗️🇺🇸/🇮🇷 President Trump on Truth Social: ‘The Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN, with or without Iran. We are reinstating the THE IRANIAN BLOCKADE, so named because it is only stopping Iran’s ships or customers from entering or leaving. All other…
🇺🇸💰🚢 President Donald Trump is “very serious” about his plan to impose a 20% toll on cargo transiting through the Strait of Hormuz, a White House official told Semafor, asserting that it’s a plan he’s wanted to move forward with for months.

The president has long flirted with the idea of charging a toll, wondering back in April “why shouldn’t” his administration do so and threatening to impose fees in June if a deal with Iran was not completed within a 60-day period. But Trump doesn’t always follow through with his musings, and until this week, he resisted formally announcing that plan — in part due to opposition from some in his orbit.

“This is what he’s always wanted to do, but people tried to talk him out of it,” the White House official said. “To him, this was his instinctual decision always, and he’s sort of just come back around to it.”

It’s not yet clear how such a fee system, which Trump has tied to a renewed naval blockade in the strait, would work, or whether the US has even consulted with Gulf states about the idea. Details of the plan are still being ironed out, according to the official. But Trump sees the 20% payments as a reimbursement for “costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security to this very volatile section of the World,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Importantly, Trump’s announcement on Monday also contradicted pledges by some of his top officials not to charge tolls in the strait. Vice President JD Vance has said the administration believes “international waterways should be free of tolls,” and Secretary of State Marco Rubio was part of a joint statement with the Gulf Cooperation Council that rejected “any tolls, fees or attempts to assert control over the strait.”

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 U.S. president, Donald Trump, ordered the resumption of the naval blockade of Iran and announced that he's scrapping his plan to put a 20% tax on the cargo of every ship exiting the Persian Gulf, replacing it with additional investments from the Gulf countries into the U.S.

Lastly, he also claimed "oil is flowing" despite very little visible traffic on the U.S. backed Omani lane, with most of the oil going through the Hormuz in the past month being of Iranian origin and headed for China.

🗳 🇪🇺 📵 Hyperdemocratic European Parliament reimposes mass electronic surveillance regulation after a majority votes it down three times An extension of the European Union’s mass surveillance regulation known as Chat Control 1.0 failed to make it out of the…
🇪🇺🗣 The EU ordered YouTube to take down a video from a Finnish podcast which criticised the Chat Control initiative.

Puheenaihe podcast is a Finnish current affairs program with 60k subscribers. In this episode, Peter Sund, CEO of the Finnish Information Security Cluster (Kyberala ry) offered pointed criticism of the EU's new Chat Control directive, which was enacted under questionable circumstances.

Because the media is in Finnish, it is highly likely the censorship request came from a Finnish government official or a related party.

This makes it troublesome.

Because the Finnish constitution §12 guarantees freedom of expression.

Preventing political publications is a criminal offence: Abuse of Official Position, punishable by a fine or imprisonment for up to two years.

The particular episode remains available in the EU on Apple Music and Spotify.

Note that this is not automated YouTube copyright take down system or other automated system, because then the video would be blocked globally.

Because it is blocked only inside the EU the request to take down must have come from EU truth flaggers that speak Finnish.

The video does not contain hate speech or any questionable material.

In Finland political speech is protected, even more than regular speech. Discussing about the EU legislation is very political.

There is literally no reason to take it down except for 1) you are a butthurt politician who voted for chat control 2) you are an overzealous EU Digital Services Act truth flagger.

In both cases it is a crime in Finland, and a punishable offense, because you use authority and power to suppress legal political speech.
