📢 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Senator Lindsey Graham: "I spent 4.5 hours with President Trump on Friday. Here's what I think will happen next. If this deal fails, President Trump is gonna take the Strait of Hormuz over by force. We'll charge a fee for all those who go through to pay for the operation... if Iran contests control of the Strait of Hormuz by the United States we'll obliterate them."

🇬🇮 🇪🇸 🇬🇧 Spanish workmen tore down checkpoints on the border between Spain and Gibraltar for the first time in more than 300 years as part of a post-Brexit deal.
The new Brexit deal erases the land border between the British overseas territory and Spain, enabling the free flow of some 15,000 workers a day, and moves it to Gibraltar’s airport.
The dismantling of the border comes more than three centuries after Anglo-Dutch forces seized the fort of Gibraltar during a war against the Spanish.
After four years of negotiations, the UK and European Commission announced an agreement last June. The details emerged in a text published this spring and will be formally approved by the European Council in the coming days.
Spanish media reported this week that the agreement could be signed on July 13 in Brussels, with the probable signatories being Yvette Cooper, the Foreign Secretary, and Maroš Šefčovič, a EU commissioner.
The treaty marks one of the most significant agreements on British Overseas Territories since the 1984 accord with China on the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong.
The possibility of Spanish sovereignty over the Rock was not discussed in the treaty talks, but the UK and Fabian Picardo, Gibraltar’s chief minister, have had to accept greater Spanish influence.
British citizens in Gibraltar, however, will regain lost EU freedom of movement rights under the Rock’s new Brexit deal.
Residents will get back the right to work in the EU as if they were citizens of the bloc, but not to live and study there, which they had before Brexit.

📝 🇬🇧 🇮🇳 Sikhs Before and After Nowak | Millennial Woes
While leftists are happy with any and all minorities being in the country and replacing us, conservatives always have to rationalise their support for what is, after all, an existential threat to everything they hold dear. They tend to use the same rationale for every single minority group: “X-group are natural conservatives!” With Sikhs, the evidence is their traditional garb, religious piety, masculine presence, and apparent law-abiding nature.
But the main thing for conservatives is Sikhs being loyal to right-wing politics. In actuality, Sikhs vote decisively for left-wing parties. In the 2024 election only 23% of them voted right, with 49% voting left and 28% abstaining. In the run-up to that election, the Sikh Network produced a manifesto aimed at mobilising Sikhs and influencing British politicians. For the latter, it detailed how they could earn Sikh votes by pledging to fulfil certain demands. These demands included restricting freedom of speech for native Brits and increasing Sikh immigration into Britain, further changing the country and loosening our (native) hold on it. These people are “conservative” in the same way that Hindus are “conservative”, Muslims are “conservative” or right-wing Jews are “conservative”: they are profoundly ethnocentric and committed to the betterment of their ethnic group. Their conservatism has nothing to do with Britain.
That we Whites are able to delude ourselves about Sikhs is a sign of how little we know them, because of how little we interact with them. In a macabre fashion, this situation was sustainable; if they stick to themselves, we don’t need to know anything about them at all, which is great, because most of us have absolutely no interest in foreign cultures. (How many of us even know what the word “dastaar” means?) The problem, of course, is that ignorance is not bliss. Sikhs change our country in a million tiny ways every day. But the conservative can live with that, just as he lives with any degradation if it happens slowly enough.

While technically a religious group, Sikhs are in reality - or rather, in human perceptual reality - an ethnic group.
