The Al Udeid airbase can be targeted by Iran with its huge arsenal of SRBMs unlike the airbases in Saudi Arabia and Jordan which are in range of Iran's MRBMs.

🇺🇸❌🇮🇷 — BREAKING: President Trump is considering an initial limited military strike on Iran as a way to pressure Tehran into agreeing to a nuclear deal, according to WSJ.

➡️ The opening assault, which if authorized could come within days, would involve hitting a small number of military or government targets, with the possibility of expanding the campaign if Iran does not agree to restrict its nuclear program.

🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷📝 Anon: The option for a limited strike against Iran is a gamble but the likelihood of Tehran conceding to Trump's (Israel's) maximalist demands of dismantling its nuclear program and its missile arsenal is next to none.

Another option is that this article is part of a deception campaign by the United States which aims to fool the Iranians into believing that an imminent strike is merely part of negotiations and not in fact a threat to the regime’s survival. This places the Iranians in a dilemma. When strikes happen, are they in a use it or lose in scenario? Or are they warning strikes. They might not know until it’s too late.

If you’re in the Iranian govt’s position what do you do? You’re playing with a lot of risk here and you’re getting mixed messages. Is the regime actually in danger? Are you willing to take that risk?

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Events in the Rai-Alexandrovka direction (Slavyansk direction) are not progressing well for Ukraine right now.

Russia has intensified their offensive operations and are making steady advances through some of the most fortified parts of the frontline. Ukrainian counterattacks aimed at slowing Russia's advance have failed, and Russian infiltration groups are reaching areas further and further west along the southern bank of the Seversky Donets River, penetrating strongpoints which were supposed to have stalled any Russian offensive west of Seversk.

Some forward units have already advanced 20 km since the fall of Seversk (from positions east of the city) and are closing in on the strategic city of Nikolaevka from two directions.

If Ukraine doesn't redeploy sufficient forces here soon, this front could blossom into a catastrophe not only for the Lyman direction, but also for the cities of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk which are not prepared for battle, and still hold more than 150,000 civilians.

Americans aged 55+ now represent 45.3% of all US consumer spending, the highest in at least 28 years.

This is nearly DOUBLE the ~28.0% seen in the early 2000s.

By comparison, those aged 54 and younger are down to just 54.7%, from ~72.0% in 2000.

The gap between the two groups has narrowed by ~35 percentage points over the last 25 years and is on track to converge for the first time in history.

This comes as 73.7% of all US wealth is held by those over 55, up from 56.2% in 2000, according to Fed data.

The US wealth divide is accelerating.

Around 10 US fighter jets on Wednesday departed an airbase in Pyeongtaek for drills above international waters off South Korea’s western coast. While the US planes didn’t enter China’s air defense identification zone, Beijing scrambled planes as they neared that region, according to the report.

What makes the incident unusual is that the air drills were carried out without informing any South Korean military or public official in advance, with Seoul learning about the incident after it happened.
