A peace deal for Ukraine fails to materialize, as the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine cannot reach an agreement. Trump, as promised, cuts all aid to Ukraine, leading to its collapse and eventual conquest by Russia.

Meanwhile, Georgescu is elected and negotiates a deal with Russia to reclaim the territories annexed by the USSR from Romania that were integrated into the Ukrainian SSR during World War II. As part of the agreement, Russia also pledges not to interfere in Moldovan politics and an eventual reunion of Moldova and Romania.

In return, Romania agrees to close NATO bases on its territory, expel NATO troops stationed in the country, restore diplomatic and trade relations with Russia, and ensure that NATO is not allowed to launch an offensive against Russia from Romanian soil.

All of this is achieved without a single shot being fired.

This outcome aligns with Trump's foreign policy, poses no conflict of interest with the U.S. or Russia and, most importantly, fulfills an almost century-old Romanian national aspiration.

To Ukraine’s supporters: If this scenario unfolds and Ukraine ceases to exist, this is the best possible outcome for you as well. Why? Because Russia would end up controlling less territory than if it had kept all of Ukraine. And if Ukraine is ultimately lost, you should find some comfort in the fact that not everything has gone to Russia.

TOKYO (AP) — Japan on Wednesday said it will freeze voluntary funding for a United Nations’ women’s rights panel that called for an end to the country’s male-only imperial succession rule.

The unusual step comes in response to a report published in October by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, or CEDAW, urging Japan to revise the male-only succession rule under the Imperial House Law to allow a female emperor.

The 1947 law, which largely preserves conservative pre-war family values, only allows a male to succeed to the throne and forces female royal members who marry commoners to lose their royal status.

Japan on Monday informed the CEDAW that it will be excluded from a list of recipients of the country’s annual voluntary contributions, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Toshihiro Kitamura said.

🇩🇪 Berlin protests as Germany’s far-right “firewall” collapses

A vote in the German Bundestag yesterday marked a turning point in the country’s politics. For the first time, a motion was passed with support from the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), breaking the long-standing “Brandmauer” (firewall) – an unofficial agreement among major parties to exclude the radical right from decision-making.

In response, several hundred people gathered outside the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) headquarters in Berlin to protest the conservative party’s reliance on the far right.

The vote, which passed with support from the CDU, AfD, and the liberal Free Democratic Party (FDP), shattered a post-World War II political taboo against cooperating with the radical right. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) criticized the development, stating:

“Since the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany over 75 years ago, there has always been a clear consensus among all democrats in our parliaments: we do not make common cause with the far right.”

🇺🇸🇵🇦🇨🇳 Secretary of State Marco Rubio is carefully, yet not openly, messaging here, that the US knows when and how the Chinese plan to blow up the Panama canal locks.

Until 1994 two US Army infantry battalions were based at both ends of the canal right besides the locks (Fort Davis and Fort Clayton), and as Panama abolished its military in 1990, there is now just a few policemen guarding the canals' locks.

Once China attacks Taiwan, Chinese troops, currently pretending to dock workers at the Chinese operated ports in Panama, will destroy the canals' locks to prevent the US Atlantic Fleet to cross into the Pacific, while the Suez canal will be blocked by a Chinese container ship getting stuck.

Rubio's first foreign trip was to Panama to explain president Jose Raul Mulino the reason the US will no longer ignore the Chinese presence in Panama.
