The Western media campaign against Republika Srpska, which began a couple of years ago, has reached its peak. Its main goal is to provoke refusal of cooperation with the institutions of the republic on the part of potential partners.

▪️ Several enterprises, politicians and individuals are already under sanctions from the US Treasury. Officially, they are accused of corruption and participation in criminal schemes , but the real reasons lie completely different: they all actively collaborated with countries disliked by the West. The US administration is particularly interested in the projects that Republika Srpska is developing with Serbia, Hungary, Russia and China.

▪️ Recently, the Balkan gossip @balkanossiper using the example of Montenegro, talked about attempts by the West to raise doubts among local politicians about the advisability of Chinese investments in the region. It turned out that rumors about a “debt trap” were only part of a large-scale campaign by Western media to disrupt plans for the development of cooperation within the framework of the One Belt - One Road initiative. As a result of the coordinated attack, even officials and ministers began to doubt the need to develop projects with the Chinese.

▪️ In relation to the Republika Srpska, they are now following the same patterns, implementing a media campaign of “fear of sanctions.” Undesirable companies are publicly announced as the next candidates to join the blacklist, actively spreading rumors through an extensive network of controlled media.

❗️ This caused a chain reaction in the region: since the bank accounts of sanctioned individuals and institutions are closed, and even those who did business with them are facing problems, there are fewer and fewer people willing to enter into contracts with such legal entities.

Oddly enough, the Bosnian subsidiary of the Russian Gazprom was one of the first to refuse cooperation with potential candidates to join the US blacklist. Are we the only ones who have questions about this?

The primary tool benefiting the U.S. administration is the banking sector in Srpska & BiH, which has decided to close the bank accounts of sanctioned individuals and institutions, as well as anyone doing business with them. As we can see special focus of US administration is related to Srpska’s projects with Serbia, Hungary, Russia and China.

Increasingly violent rhetoric from Western leaders antagonizes China while attempting to convince Whites that a war is necessary and desirable.

All the while Chinese citizens and nationals flood over the frontiers of the West and into its institutions.

Chinese parliamentarians in Australia, New Zealand, and France have spied on the countries they purport to hold loyalty to.

While Chinese students and employees in Western countries steal record amounts of intellectual property, state secrets, and technological advances.

Race, ethnicity, culture, and heritage are strong ties that the Chinese state leverages to gain an upper hand on Western nations that harm themselves with adherence to policies that refuse to acknowledge the importance of these things.

Market is trading the "the Fed is behind the curve" theme.

Equities and yields are falling while the dollar is rising. According to the USD smile theory, if growth data continues to weaken from here, the dollar should strengthen rather than weaken, despite yields pricing in more Fed cuts, as investors seek a safe haven. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 🇮🇷 Senator Lindsey Graham has introduced a resolution to authorize the use of U.S. Armed Forces against Iran.

🔶️ According to the resolution, the Senate “asserts that efforts to deter Hezbollah and the Islamic Republic of Iran are most credible when the President keeps all options on the table, including military force.”

🔶️ Graham also introduced an Authorization for Use of Military Force which would permit the use of US Armed Forces against Iran for threatening the national security of the US through the development of nuclear weapons.

🔶️ Energy scarcity, aging workforces, and institutional paralysis don't combine to create social-democratic utopia but a closed, deindustrializing society:

🔶️ Europe has set itself up to lose the two most basic ingredients for industrial competitiveness and sustainability: cheap energy and cheap labor.

🔶️ You can maybe maintain an industrial society by offsetting one against the other, but to maintain one with neither is ludicrous.

🔶️ China has coal. America has fracking. But Europe's energy strategy is to install solar panels on the world's least sunny continent and build windmills that don't make sense anywhere in the world.

🔶️ This is almost explicitly the opposite of a strategy for cheap energy.

🔶️ European countries have banned fracking and failed to pursue oil and gas exploration opportunities, while the deal for cheap Russian gas has been exploded by war in Ukraine.

🔶️ Meanwhile, Germany shut down its nuclear plants and other countries are planning to follow.

🔶️ That some peripheral European economies like Finland, Poland, or Romania are pursuing new nuclear plants just underscores the problem of a future without nuclear in larger economies like Germany, Italy, and Spain.

🔶️ Except for Japan and South Korea, the world's oldest countries are all European. Nor are European fertility rates anything to brag about.

🔶️ There is no amount of immigration that can make up for such wide and deep aging of the workforce.

🔶️ Aging populations and social democratic entitlements might work with a growing economy, but without it, they just lead to a dysfunctional, extractive political economy where the old oppress the young.

🔶️ The resulting political gridlock and institutional paralysis is perhaps Europe's single biggest problem, because it makes solutions and reforms extremely hard to implement.

🔶️ Europe's energy crisis, for example, could be solved almost literally just with a few strokes of a pen.

🔶️ This looming European decline is not a cause for celebration in America or China. Europe is not a cautionary tale, but the canary in the coal mine for aging industrial societies that do not reform.
