Russia delivered 10.81 million tonnes of oil (2.55 million bpd) to China in March, close to the historical record of June 2023. This is 71.6 per cent more than the second largest supplier.
China continues to build up important strategic reserves, while the US used a significant part of its reserves in 2022 and 2023 to calm the markets. Prices have risen and it is now unable to replenish them.

🛢 🇺🇸 📊 US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR)
🔶️ As of July 21, 2023, the inventory was 346.8 million barrels (55,140,000 m3). This equates to about 17 days of oil at 2019 daily U.S. consumption levels of 20.54 million barrels per day (3,266,000 m3/d) or 35 days of oil at 2019 daily U.S. import levels of 9.141 million barrels per day (1,453,300 m3/d). However, the maximum total withdrawal capability from the SPR is only 4.4 million barrels per day (700,000 m3/d), so it would take about 79 days to use the entire inventory.
🔶️ According to legislation already in place, the amount of oil in the reserve could fall to as little as 238 million barrels by 2028. This will be a 67% reduction to the oil in the reservoir since 2010. This drawdown of crude oil reserves will expose the U.S. vulnerability during a future incident of supply disruptions, rather than higher prices.

Public shale companies have become more attractive to investors after turning to a business strategy in the last two years of returning cash to shareholders after years of chasing production growth at all costs, but there still isn’t enough money flowing to oil and gas development to meet the world’s demand for it, VanLoh said.

Lacking Shale Investment a Huge Obstacle, Major Investor Says
Energy transition technologies receiving double the investment compared to oil and gas is becoming a major problem for the shale sector and for global supply-demand balances, said Quantum Capital Group Chief Executive Officer Wil VanLoh who manages $25 billion.

This invariably spells decline in US shale production. With the delcline in oil prices and reduced capex spending, America's position as the world's biggest producer of oil is coming to an end soon.
🛢 🇺🇸 US Oil Drillers Pivot From Shale to Offshore projects
📝 Anon: "Looks like fracking is dying."
🔶️ Shale’s allure, for all its merits, has faced challenges. Production costs, declining well productivity in certain basins, and infrastructure constraints have tested investor patience. Moreover, the investment community’s call for fiscal discipline, prioritizing dividends and share buybacks over unchecked capital expenditure, has further put brakes on shale’s once unbridled expansion.
🔶️ On the other hand, offshore projects, with their potential for vast reserves, offer a compelling proposition. The extended production life of offshore wells, coupled with the allure of unexplored frontiers, can potentially yield higher returns. But it’s not a path devoid of challenges. The capital intensity, long lead times, and heightened environmental scrutiny can test even the most seasoned energy players.

Europe's Youth are going through a significant political transition.
As Europe approaches EU elections a few significant political trends are going to play out, and continue to become more significant, in the coming decades:
European Youth are the nationalist right's biggest voting base.
In Germany 22% of people aged 14-29 would vote for the AfD, An increase of 100% compared to two years ago.
Geert Wilders PVV was the most popular party among Dutch voters under 35 in last year's elections.
And in France, Marine Le Pen won 49% of people aged 25-34 in the last presidential election. She on only 29% of voters over 70.
At the same time Europe's youth looks toward nationalism they are looking away from liberal democracy.
Just 38% of Germans are consistent supporters of liberal democracy, just 27% of the French, and 45% of the Polish and Italians support the liberal democratic order that dominates Europe.
Liberal regimes in Europe are not going to collapse tomorrow, or next week, but there is a significant long term transition in the political preferences of young White people, particularly young White men, about what their society aught to look like.
Whites want change, and they're looking for it.

🇵🇸 🇮🇱 Rafah Summary | 10 Brigades in Gaza:
- Last night the Nahal Infantry Brigade (933) entered the Gaza Strip.
- They operate in Rafah under the 162nd Division, expanding the invasion.
- There are now 10 IDF brigades operating throughout Gaza, 5 in Rafah (compared to 2 in Rafah 5 days ago).
2️⃣ The IDF has now cleared the first two stages of Rafah:
1. Al-Shokat
2. Eastern Neighborhoods
The surge in forces (from 2 brigades to 5) means they are about to proceed to the next stage:
3. Rafah City Center
📊 Battle team reconfiguration:
46: 401 -> Nahal
934: 401 -> Commando (from 16.5. to 19.5.) -> Nahal
1 company of 601: 401 -> Nahal
435: 7 -> Givati
🛰 High resolution satellite imagery of the Philadelphi Corridor whose construction I've been pointing out for the past 2 weeks. It's not just the houses that have been blown up, every single field within 1km of the Egyptian border has been plowed over and destroyed. A complete wasteland.

🇺🇸🇮🇱⚡️- Project Veritas investigation of White House staffers reveal that Biden is refusing to go against Israel until after the election.
The staffer says that Biden and his team would be more willing to say "No" to Israel in a second term to not risk alienating important jewish donors for the election.
Congressional Democrat staffers as well as White House staffers have both put out statements condemning their bosses for their continued support for the Israeli war effort.
