🇵🇸 🇮🇱 Satellite images Reveal Israeli Military Reinforcements Near Rafah Border

🔶️ Satellite imagery obtained by Al Jazeera's Sanad Agency, reveals the positioning of nearly 300 Israeli military vehicles on the outskirts of Rafah, a city now housing over a million displaced people from various provinces across the Gaza Strip.

🔶️ According to the monitoring and analysis, these reinforcements began arriving at three nearby locations around Gaza’s border on April 28 and continued up to the time of the images captured on May 3.

🛡 The distribution of vehicles across the sites is as follows:

▪️ 150 vehicles at the "Amitai" military base
▪️ 20 vehicles at the "Holit" kibbutz
▪️ 120 vehicles around the Kerem Shalom crossing

🔶️ In parallel with the military buildup, the Israeli army has established a logistical supply line stretching from Amitai Base through the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza territory.

🔶️ The images revealed that tents have been set up to accommodate soldiers within the military base, located less than 3 km from the Gaza border.

🔶️ The buildup and activities of the Israeli military along the southern Gaza border coincides with threats of a military operation in Rafah. Signs of this operation emerged when the Israeli army ordered residents of the eastern areas to evacuate on Monday morning.

🇵🇸 🇮🇱 There is evidence of a new gravel road being constructed by the IDF near the Kerem Shalom border crossing.

🔶️ This is visible in the May 5 Planet imagery, as well as a new gravel pad on the Israeli side of the border near the kibbutz.
