📢 🇾🇪 🇺🇸 Commander Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi:
"Any American targeting of our country will be targeted by us, and we will make American battleships, interests, and navigation a target for our missiles, drones, and military operations."

📢 🇾🇪 🇺🇸 Commander Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi: "Any American targeting of our country will be targeted by us, and we will make American battleships, interests, and navigation a target for our missiles, drones, and military operations."
📖 🇾🇪 🇺🇸 Additional excerpts from Commander Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi's speech.

🔶️ "Therefore, let the Americans know, and let all the institutions in America know, that the Zionists of America are seeking to involve America in what is not even in its interest, nor in the interest of its people; But only in order to serve Israel, in order to serve the Zionist-Jewish-Israeli enemy; As for us, we rely on God, and trust in God, “Glory be to Him, the Most High,” who is the Lord of the worlds, the supporter of the oppressed, and the Strong, the Mighty."

🔶️ "Therefore, we warn the American against getting involved in any foolishness. As for what he is doing at sea, he is currently losing. He is launching a missile worth two million dollars to confront a drone worth two thousand dollars."

🔶️ "Therefore, if the American wants to fight this position, stop this position, silence this position, and prevent this position, then he is in trouble with all the Yemeni people. If he wants to send his soldiers to Yemen, he will confront him in Yemen - to know, to understand, and to be certain. And, God Almighty willing, it will be much harsher than what he faced in Afghanistan, and what he suffered in Vietnam. The situation in Yemen is very different. You are facing a people who are struggling, based on a faith identity and faith affiliation, a free people, a people who move over many years with a will of faith. We are serious, and we are ready to stand firm in our position regardless of the results. The American does not imagine that he can strike here and there and then calm the matter down, then send mediation from here or there to calm the situation. If he gets involved, then he is involved in every sense of the word, in real trouble."

⚓️ 🇺🇸 🚢 Shipping Industry in the Dark Over Red Sea Naval Coalition

🔶️ There is a serious disconnect between the US Navy and European shipping community

⬛️ Here is why the problem is worse than you think.

⚓️ 🇺🇸 🌍 US Navy says they don’t have enough warships to start Operation Prosperity Garden

🔶️ The US built 24 littoral combat ships but - for good reason - isn’t using them.

Question: If the LCS cannot defend a merchant ship against Houthi drones, how is it going to defend itself in combat?

Question 2:

Aren’t the Houthis a relatively minor actor operating on the littorals?

Isn’t this exactly the type of threat the LCS was built to manage?

🚢 🇵🇦 🇿🇦 Twin Crises Send Cargo Ships Back to 18th Century Trade Routes

🔶️ About 180 container ships had diverted around Africa or were stopped and waiting for instructions to avoid attacks in the Red Sea, according to data late Wednesday from Flexport Inc., a San Francisco-based digital freight platform. Hundreds more are almost certain to join them unless western powers assure the industry that the Houthis, who have vowed to continue their attacks, can be quelled. Likewise, Panama diversions have been going on for weeks as low water levels restrict the number of transits.

🔶️ The potential economic impact is a painful reminder that global trade is vulnerable to breakdowns from something as rampant as a deadly virus, or as random as a single ship like the Ever Given clogging a major artery for almost a week.

🔶️ This time, the culprits are a lack of rainfall in Central America, two regional wars, and the reality that missiles and aerial drones launched into the sea by rebels can cripple some of the world’s largest machines.

🚢 🇵🇦 🇾🇪 That’s Two for Two: The World’s Other Big Canal Is in Trouble

⬛️ While the Panama Canal has been running dry, Gaza-related attacks have created a crisis in the Red Sea

🔶️ These new attacks are compounding disruptions to global trade already suffering from a historic drought in the Panama Canal.

⚡️🇺🇸 In the first time, or at least, a very, very, very, long time, from the Suez to the shores of Hawaii, not a single US Military flight is registered on public flight radars - it seems that all flights have turned off their transponders.

Which is unnatural to say the least, at least several flights would be registered and be flying at any given time

Calm before the storm?

⚡️🇺🇸🇾🇪 One of my close friends actually gave me a pretty good theory.

So - Houthis use ADS-B for guidance and SA, and its VERY easy to track ADS-B, there are literally apps on Google Play Store and a few dozens of dollars of equipment that can trace it - so, the Americans turned off their transponders and anything that may emit ADS-B

As for why flights on the other side of the Planet (the Pacific) is doing that, its because they probably want to mask which units are going, and how many are arriving, at least causing confusion to OSINT and open source stuff, and I doubt the Houthis have the CIA or SVR on their paycheck.

🇦🇴👋🛢🏴 ZeroHedge | Oil Tumbles After Angola Announces It Is Leaving OPEC | December 21, 2023:

"Confirming a move which had been widely expected after the internal acrimony at the last OPEC+ meeting, moments ago Angola - also known as China's gas station in Africa - announced it was leaving OPEC, the country's news agency ANGOP reported on Thursday, quoting the African producer’s oil minister Diamantino de Azevedo.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Council of Ministers, led by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, the news agency noted. Jornal de Angola also reported the news.

As OilPrice notes, Angola and another African OPEC member, Nigeria, had a spat with the other cartel members before the latest meeting regarding their oil production quotas."

🇮🇱/🇱🇧 Israeli Newspaper Maariv: The fear in Israel is that Hezbollah will expand its strikes and attacks significantly in the next few days, in an attempt to deter Israel

@Middle_East_Spectator
🚢 🇺🇸 🌍 It appears that while some US-flagged merchant ships reversed course - ARC Liberty and Maersk Chicago - and others are still heading for the Suez to head south; some are holding their positions - Maersk Kensington & Green Bay - while they await for escorts to be established.

🔶️ In the meantime, the French-owned Malta-flagged CMA CGM Aqaba just ran (Dec 20/21) the Bab el-Mandeb [BAM] into the Gulf of Aden. CMA CGM Pegasus (w/armed guards aboard) just departed Djibouti after sailing through the BAM on Dec 18 and is showing a destination of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the Red Sea (but she may be heading to Asia).

🔶️ The French-owned CMA CGM Washington (Malta-flagged 14,360 TEU) and APL Salalah (Singapore-flagged 10,800 TEU and owned by CMA CGM) are the only containerships over 8000 TEU heading for the BAM in the Indian Ocean and will probably pick up an escort to run past Yemen.

🔶️ It appears that the French Navy is using the frigate Languedoc to escort their ships through the waters around Yemen and avoid the Houthi.

🔶️ The question is why the @USNavy @US5thFleet has not yet escorted Maersk Kensington through the BAM, as the ship has been sitting in the Red Sea for a week (since Dec 15), or Green Bay (since Dec 17) in the Gulf of Aden?
