I took this photo in the Princess Of Prussia #pub in the East End. I'm going to post a video on this place soon but I just love the way this image came out.

#Pub scenes from 'Only Fools & Horses' are both heart warming & upsetting. They depict our recent pub culture which has withered away with modernity.

This is the scene where the brothers finally become wealthy. The #pubs warm, working class nature brings about true nostalgia.

Another beautiful #pub in the West End of #London that I would have never found without @ChelseaDan5. The Champion in #W1 has maintained much of the essential features of a "real pub"

#OnThisDay in #Pub history (1495) was the first written record of #Scotch #Whisky which appears in Exchequer Rolls of #Scotland, the distiller is named Friar John Cor. Scotch whisky (Scottish Gaelic: uisge-beatha na h-Alba;  - The Water of Life - often simply called Scotch)🥃

The beauty of the #London #pub. This one in #Westminster #SW1Y is a fine example of the aesthetics that the Victorians excelled at.

Just because a "#pub" is still open doesn't make it a real public house. Throughout time, pubs were places for the poor & wealthy alike to seek cheap refuge among others, obtaining much needed social interaction & forming community bonds. "Gastropubs" are the polar opposite.

The concept of friendship has been utterly distorted. People's excuses to be around others & naturally find connections have been stripped & replaced with soulless, noisy, uninviting bars. A wholesome, down to earth #Pub will never be equalled.

The Owl (Still Trading) 🍻

A pub I know and love.. @VinnieSullivan

"Built in 1776, The Owl has been a McMullens pub since 1898. It was rebuilt in 1975 but still retains a cosy and characterful interior, with open fires and wood panelling. Situated in the heart of Epping Forest we are perfectly positioned for a pit stop whilst you explore the outstanding forest and countryside." (#Pub Website)
