In collaboration with Dereja, Career Development Center of BiT-BDU has organized an orientation program on Dereja Academy Accelerator Program (DAAP) for graduating students.

Orientation to DAAP has begun today in collaboration with Africa Jobs' business unit and the MasterCard Foundation. Dereja's representatives, Mr. Mekonnen Mengesha and Mr. Demisew Amsalu, have discussed additional tips in EthioJobs research with the Labour Market pivoting Fresh Graduates. They have also mentioned Dereja's offers.
The three-month academy accelerated program focuses on providing soft skills, professional skills, and career counseling to fresh graduates. Students who are accepted into the program will participate in an interactive lesson on Self Discovery, Self-Branding, Effective Communication, Analytical Thinking, Effective Planning, Personal Financial Management, and Effective Job Searching Skills. Graduates are expected to apply by registering at dereja.com .
For four weeks, the standard experience of employability and job readiness training has been redesigned. This training will be implemented this year. The DAAP assessment includes an aptitude test that measures verbal, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
A brief illustration of the processes for obtaining Dereja's services has been also provided.

Google Developers Student Club-GDSC has been launched under BiT- Career Development Center

Google Developers Student Club is a university-based community group for students who are interested in technology, especially students under the computing faculty.
GDSC isn't always about "programming" but also about connecting, learning, and growing together. It is the right place for boosting one's career by networking.
There will be activities in the club like Microblogs, workshops, challenges, social projects, Tiny Hackathon, and accelerated courses/talks. The talk might be about Career paths, flutter, data science, firebase for web development, and other more in computing.
The club has been officially inaugurated on Sunday (Feb. 05, 2023) with the support of Bezawork Tilahun Mindaye and collaborative students.
It will have a physical existence at Jan-Moscov Library, first floor, BiT-CDC.
