⭐️2022 ends up with last Employability and Job readiness training⭐️

👉In collaboration with Dereja, we were able to give Employability and Job Readiness Training for over 700 graduates at Bahir Dar city.This achievement and social impact can't be happen without support of dereja. We want to extend our gratitude for our best partner.

👉Today we are delivering the last round for 2022 year plan. The new year 2023 plan will come up with different approachs in delivering Employability Skill Training.

👉Due to midterm examination, the public lecture is going to happen by tomorrow at 04:00LT.
In collaboration with dereja, BiT-Career Development Center has delivered soft skill training for BiTec entrepreneurs and graduated candidates at Bahir Dar City.

👉For the last two months, the BiT-Career Development Center has delivered soft skill training which consists of eight modules supported by LMS(Learning Management System) and authorized by dereja. There were 30 trainees from BiTec entrepreneurs and graduate candidates from Bahir Dar. The training was delivered by Mr. Habtamu Alemayehu, BiT-Career Development Center Coordinator.

👉All modules have an introductory session, reflection sessions, and Guest speakers session. In each module, there are activities, assignments, worksheets, group work, online tests, and training surveys which are submitted in LMS.

👉The eye's breaking module was "Self-discovery" which was the fundamental one. There are new theories and worksheets for assessing oneself. It is very difficult to cover the module in one week but it is good to start with it. The lesson was that how much it worth to think of one-self's capability. In this session, trainees are expected to validate their career interests.

👉The second one was "Building Self-image". It was another capital idea. One can understand the value of self-branding. Instantly, trainees started to move on to professional media like LinkedIn repeatedly. This was one of the key results.

👉Following this, the "Communication" module came up with important tips. Trainees understand that "effective communication is all about the more you listen the less you talk". Various communication barriers have been discussed with typical examples.

👉"Analytical thinking" was the fourth one. Even though critical thinking is a gradual learning process, part of our graduates didn't practice. This might be a kickoff for the new journey.

👉Managing tasks is not an easy duty indeed. This century needs digital task management which helps to eat the big elephant. The fourth dimension's understanding is a crucial component in one's life planning.

👉The sixth module was "Personal Financial Management". This helps to plan for achieving short and long-term financial goals. It is really helpful for candidates to move from economic dependence to independence.

👉Before winding up soft skill training, "Understanding gender at the workplace" will come early. It helps to identify gender-based discrimination in the workplace. Knowing how gender stereotype develops is the key objective of the module.

👉Finally, "Effective Job Search" appeared to understand the pre, during, and post-job searching process. Candidates will prepare a job-winning resume. Here, the previous modules enable one to tell oneself values and capabilities easily.

👉According to the Coordinator's Explanation, there remains professional skill training for coming one month and this intensive training will continue for BiT graduate students after the end of January 2023.
