Dereja has been working diligently with universities to achieve several key objectives:
🌟 Aligning with Partners and Stakeholders: Building strong relationships to support youth employment.
🌟 Increasing Well-Trained Individuals: Through programs like Dereja Academy, university-based career centers, and job fairs, we're preparing more young people for the job market.
🌟Linking Youth to Employment: Connecting graduates with job opportunities across various sectors.
Improving Recruitment Effectiveness: Helping employers access competent graduates by removing recruitment barriers.
However, employers still face challenges in finding graduates who meet their needs. Lack of awareness about the benefits of job fairs hinders effective recruitment.
💥Addressing Challenges
Despite positive feedback from the National Career Expo and workshops, we need to tackle several issues:
1️⃣ Limited Awareness of Career Opportunities: Many students are unaware of available career paths and market requirements. Enhancing career development services is crucial.
2️⃣ Mismatch Between Student Interest and Field of Study: Students often pursue fields they are not passionate about, leading to low motivation. Career guidance can help them make informed choices.
Breakfast Forum Highlights
To address these challenges, the Breakfast Forum will feature:
👉 Panel Discussions: Industry experts, employers, educators, and government representatives will discuss talent acquisition, job-linking initiatives, and workforce readiness.
