Bahir Dar Institute of Technology - Career Development Center (BiT-CDC) has coordinated a collaborative campaign with Dereja, aimed at providing graduating students with valuable insights and resources for their professional journey. The campaign, launched today, showcases Dereja's interventions tailored for graduates, in partnership with Africa Jobs' business unit and the MasterCard Foundation.

At the inaugural session, Representatives Mrs. Pineal and Mr. Abel from Dereja delved into the intricacies of Ethio Jobs research and provided valuable guidance on navigating the competitive labor market, while also illuminating the diverse range of services and opportunities offered by Dereja, underscoring its pivotal role in empowering youth employment. Central to the campaign is the meticulously crafted three-month Dereja Academy for Advancing Professionals (DAAP), designed to equip fresh graduates with essential soft skills, professional insights, and clear career direction. The program comprises interactive sessions covering a spectrum of topics, including Self Discovery, Self-Branding, Effective Communication, Analytical Thinking, Effective Planning, Personal Financial Management, and Effective Job Searching Skills.
This year's employability and job readiness training has undergone a significant transformation, expanding beyond its traditional four-day format. The revamped program now incorporates a comprehensive DAAP assessment, featuring an aptitude test evaluating verbal, numerical, and reasoning abilities to better gauge participants' preparedness for the job market. Additionally, a streamlined walkthrough of accessing Dereja's services was introduced, complemented by compelling narratives from graduate trainees who shared firsthand experiences and success stories, highlighting Dereja Academy's efficacy in nurturing talent and facilitating career growth.
