1️⃣ Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until very al dente (1–2 minutes less than package instructions). Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.

2️⃣ Melt butter in a pot over medium-high heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute until smooth.

3️⃣ Slowly add milk in small batches, whisking constantly until fully incorporated and smooth.

4️⃣ Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, then season with salt, pepper, nutmeg, cayenne, garlic powder, and paprika.

5️⃣ Stir in broccoli and pasta. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until pasta is tender. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.

6️⃣ Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Juicy steak bites, garlic butter shrimp, and creamy Parmesan mashed potatoes — all topped with a fresh, herby chimichurri. Served alongside lemony asparagus for the perfect balanced plate. Bold, rich, and full of flavor in every bite. 🤍

🛒 Ingredients

For the Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes

❤️ 2 russet potatoes, peeled and diced
❤️ 1/3 cup heavy cream
❤️ 1 tbsp sour cream
❤️ 2 garlic cloves, minced (or garlic powder)
❤️ 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
❤️ Salt and black pepper

For the Chimichurri
❤️ 1 bunch parsley, finely chopped
❤️ 1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
❤️ 2 tbsp white onion, finely chopped
❤️ 3 garlic cloves, minced
❤️ 1/2 tsp salt
❤️ 1/2 tsp black pepper
❤️ 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
❤️ 1/2 tsp oregano
❤️ ~1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
❤️ ~2 tbsp red wine vinegar

For the Surf & Turf

❤️ 2 NY strip steaks, cubed
❤️ Worcestershire sauce
❤️ Olive oil
❤️ Salt and black pepper
❤️ Steak seasoning of choice
❤️ 1 tbsp garlic butter
❤️ Colossal shrimp, seasoned

For the Sautéed Asparagus
❤️ Asparagus
❤️ Olive oil
❤️ Lemon juice
❤️ Parmesan
❤️ Salt and black pepper
❤️ Garlic powder

👩‍🍳 Directions


1️⃣ Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender. Drain, return to pot, and mash. Mix in cream, sour cream, garlic, Parmesan, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

2️⃣ Combine parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, chili flakes, oregano, olive oil, and red wine vinegar to make chimichurri. Set aside.

3️⃣ Let steak rest, then cube and season with Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, salt, pepper, and steak seasoning.

4️⃣ Heat garlic butter in a cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Sear steak bites for about 2 minutes per side, then toss briefly and remove.

5️⃣ In the same pan, cook shrimp until pink and golden on both sides.

6️⃣ Sauté asparagus in olive oil and season with lemon juice, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until tender-crisp.

7️⃣ Plate garlic Parmesan mash, top with steak and shrimp, add asparagus on the side, and finish generously with chimichurri.
