Deir Ezzor province: Sabikhan Town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside witnessed a state of mobilization of the National Defence militia after a number of its members fled from their military positions in the town towards unknown destinations in fear of being put to battle with the International Coalition forces.

Moreover, members of the 4th Division and the security branches mobilized on all river crossings in fear of an attack from the International Coalition forces on these areas.

This comes in light of the ongoing tension and military escalation in the region between Iranian militias and the International Coalition forces in eastern areas of Syria.

On July 11, Deir Ezzor City witnessed security mobilization of regime forces and Iran-backed militias, with a rise in alert among the 137th Brigade, the 4th Division, the Revolutionary Guards, security branches, People’s Army, National Defence and Al-Sho’aitat, in fear of potential external attacks in the region, following the latest events in the region, amid deployment of anti-aircraft inside neighbourhoods of the city.
