The militias seemingly use a #WW2-era Vickers Mk. I machine gun chambered in .303 British (7.7x56mmR).

It was very likely sourced from the Indian military stocks.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโšก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฒ โ€” ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Russian channel Rybar on Telegram:

"๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ Chairman of the non-governmental organization โ€œIndo-Armenian Friendshipโ€ Rananjay Anand, after a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and India, said that the time has come to create an Indian military base in Armenia [Admin's note: this post on ๐• was deleted].

๐Ÿ“Œ The call from the Indian-funded NGO is, in principle, clear: through this kind of organization, under the guise of humanitarian programs, Indians consolidate their influence in Armenia. Given the level of interaction between countries, this is not surprising.

However, the creation of a military base or airfield is something out of science fiction. The main challenge of a forward presence in other countries is logistics. It is necessary to constantly supply not ammunition and weapons, but food and various parts for servicing equipment or machinery.

Indians currently do not have such opportunities. The transport aviation fleet is not that large, and the ground connection runs through Iran, which is not particularly happy to lose a promising market for its weapons.

But speaking about this, a very pleasant picture is created, where India, in the eyes of Armenians, acts as an important ally, ready to support the country in difficult times."
