🇺🇦 Ukrainian channel Ukraina Pravda News on Telegram:

"🌽 The Council of the European Union abolished all duties and quotas on exports from Ukraine for a year

🇳🇱 Ukraine is unlikely to soon receive the status of a candidate for EU membership — the Prime Minister of the Netherlands

Mark Rutte said that too many EU countries do not like this idea. According to him, this would also be unfair for the countries of the Western Balkans, which have been waiting much longer for candidate status.

Rutte said that one of the options is for Ukraine to become a potential candidate for accession and to be told how many steps it still needs to take to gain full status."

— Open borders to exports but not a full member of the EU.

French refinery strikes takes half of the nation’s refining capacity offline - forcing France’s largest sugar maker, Tereos, to curtail production

Diesel and petrol stations in France are running out of fuel, according to an industry union, as a refining strike takes its toll. The strike, which among others, took Total’s 240,000 bpd Gonfreville refinery offline as well as a couple of Exxon’s, was expected to conclude on Thursday…but Friday, reports came in that strikes were disrupting Total’s oil products refining and delivery for a fourth day — 60% of the nation’s total refining capacity.

There is no need to rush to the station (for gas),” TotalEnergies said on Friday. Despite those affirmations, France’s largest sugar maker, Tereos, said it had to curtail production somewhat at some of its factories after Total advised it that it would not be able to supply it with any more diesel until the end of the week.

France was already battling a shortage of refined products, with Russia’s exports to Europe falling in recent months.

🇪🇺🇹🇳 EU fears "a collapse" of Tunisia

The European Union is concerned about the deterioration of the political and economic situation in Tunisia and fears a collapse of the country, declared Monday the head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell.

"The situation in Tunisia is very dangerous," he said after a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels. “If Tunisia collapses, this risks causing migratory flows towards the EU and causing instability in the MENA region. We want to avoid this situation,” he added.

The ministers asked Belgium and Portugal to send representatives on a mission to Tunisia in order to carry out "an assessment of the situation to enable the EU to direct its measures".

🇹🇳🇪🇺 Tunisia dismisses EU warning of economic collapse

Tunisia has dismissed concerns expressed by the European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, warning of a looming economic collapse in the country.

Borrell said on Monday that a very dangerous situation was developing in which new flows of migrants would head from the North African country to southern Europe.

Tunisia's foreign ministry described the comments as "overblown".

🇨🇩🇷🇼🇪🇺 DR Congo's president accuses Rwanda of looting with EU support

The president of the Democratic Republic of Congo said he was open to a dialogue with his Rwandan counterpart for peace but lashed out against an agreement recently signed between Rwanda and the European Union on mining.

“It’s a provocation in very bad taste,” said President Felix Tshisekedi.

Tshiseked alleged Rwanda was plundering Congo's mineral resources.

He criticized an agreement signed between the EU and Rwanda earlier this week linked to the strengthening of their cooperation in the mining sector, particularly with regard to critical raw materials such as tantalum.

Rwanda should not export wealth that it does not have, he said.

With the proceeds of these illicit sales, they will equip their armies and continue their ambitions in the Congo, he added.
