🇺🇬❌🏳️‍🌈 — Ugandan Parliament passes anti-LGBTQIA law+.

More than 30 African countries already ban same-sex relationships. The new law, however, is the first to prohibit the simple identification of a person as "LGBTQIA+"

In addition to tougher penalties for sexual intercourse between people of the same sex, the law prohibits promotion and complicity with homosexuality

Violating the new law carries heavy penalties, including death or life imprisonment for sex with another of the same sex.

The legislation will now to be sent to Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni — which often is accused by Western media of being an "Evangelical Fundamentalist Christian" — to be signed into law, despite being criticized by Western-based NGOs as Human Rights Watch
