The long awaited law package "Ley de Bases y Puntos de Partida para la Libertad de los Argentinos" (Law of the bases and starting points for the liberty of Argentines) was generally approved by the deputy chamber of Congress with 144 affirmative votes and 109 negative votes, on Tuesday the particular treatment begins.

While the law package received a general approval there are controversial segments of the package which are going to be treated separately on Tuesday, regardless if those segments are ultimately approved or not it is now confirmed that the law package will reach the Senate and be voted on.

The Senate will give it a swift approval thanks to the heavy work of Argentine vicepresident Victoria Villarruel with the Senators and Interior Minister Guillermo Francos.

🇺🇳🇸🇩 WFP receiving reports of people dying of starvation in Sudan

The U.N. World Food Programme (WFP) said it was receiving reports of people dying of starvation in Sudan and that the number of hungry people has doubled over the past year as a war has cut off civilians from aid.

WFP called on Sudan's warring factions, the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), to provide immediate guarantees for the unimpeded delivery of relief.

WFP said in a statement that it was able to deliver aid to just one in 10 people in those areas, which include the capital Khartoum, the western region of Darfur, and El Gezira state, where the RSF recently advanced.

"It is becoming nearly impossible for aid agencies to cross due to security threats, enforced roadblocks, and demands for fees and taxation," the WFP statement said.

🔸 The recognition and legalization of civil partnerships

🔸 The recognition of "transgender families" that is the continued recognition of the marriage by civil authorities in the case one of the spouses changes its sex/gender

🔸 Harsher sanctions for hate speech targeting LGBT individuals

🔸 The illegalisation of conversion therapy

🔸 The creation of partnerships between local city and municipal authorities with LGBT NGOs and the creation of "Pride marches" in every city in Romania

🔸 The creation of an institute tasked with studying topics such as sexual orientation and gender identity, institute which shall be coordinated by the Romanian Parliament

🔸 Policemen, gendarmes, soldiers and intelligence officers shall receive special training to better deal with sexual orientation and gender identity in their line of work

🔸 Putting teachers through gender diversity courses and other LGBT related themes so they could become more sensitive to these... issues

🔸 The introduction of LGBT history and culture in universities

Other demands were made but these are the more... outrageous.

🇷🇴🗳⚡️ The "Coalition for the Constitution" which aims to initiate a referendum to change the Constitution, has officially launched last Friday.

The articles which are to be modified are:

🔸 art. 48. paragraph (1) replacing "spouses" with "a man and a woman" in order to guarantee the safety of the family, from a legal point of view,

🔸 art. 45 and 137 with the introduction of a right to pay with cash money.

This would be the 2nd such referendum aimed to give the highest of legal protections to the family, the first one, in 2018, failing due to low mobilization on behalf of voters, also because the "free media" at the time, gave exclusively negative reviews of the referendum and as admin recounts, even coming up with bogus claims like "using the referendum to decriminalize corruption" because the face of the referendum was the former president of the social-democratic party, Liviu Dragnea, a crook who tried his best to avoid jail but failed in the end.

The claims were bogus because the referendum wasn't even Dragnea's idea, it was initiated by a conservative NGO called "Coaliția pentru familie" and the respective NGO had no ill intentions to decriminalize certain behaviours but Dragnea threw his support behind to gain more popularity with conservative and religious voters and this was enough for the "free press", pro-LGBT NGOs and the USR party to lambast anyone coming in support, urging everyone to stay home.

This new referendum will receive the full backing of AUR, with the party already having started collecting the necessary 500k+ signatures required for the referendum to be started.
