— A subscriber made me aware of a misinformation campaign regarding Claudiu Târziu's speech that has unfortunately reached foreign medias like the Turkish "Clash Report" channel

Newsweek Romania is pushing the story that Claudiu Târziu would make Romania leave NATO in exchange for the lands lost to the USSR during WW2. I have listened to the whole speech and Târziu did not mention NATO once.

AUR being the party which pulls Romania out of NATO is one of the many unsubstantiated rumours which journalists and liberals project onto AUR seeking to justify a future ban of the party.

The official position of AUR is not isolation rather a renegotiation of the relations Romania has with various international bodies which may or may not jeopardise its interests for the benefit of others, like the EU undercutting Romanian agriculture so Ukraine can finance its war efforts and Bucharest doing little to nothing in stopping this.( Btw, this is a breach of the EU's treaties because the institutions of the EU are supposed to care for the interests of their constituents)

Regardless of how much AUR would do to calm the spirits and prove it has a plan for a rational, maybe opportunistic foreign policy, rather than the abismal foreign policy enacted today by the PSD-PNL coalition which is to be a ”yesman” to everything the EU and the US demand, there are major fears within high-ranks of the social-democratic and national liberal parties of AUR beating them in the future elections.

The fears have grown so much that, PSD MEP, Victor Negrescu, has proposed to change the Constitution and include an article directly stipulating that Romania is to always be a part of the European Union no matter what. This proposal is Negrescu's "anti #RoExit campaign" which he called "the most antipatriotic and antinationalist someone can want" and would "represent an economic disaster for the country".

I think the relevant questions we should be asking is why didn't Romania become more resilient, economically speaking, since 2007 if the EU is so great? The answer being that it never was intended to be like this, the whole purpose was to turn Romania into a "beggar state" always reliant on subsidies from Brussels as it would have no way of opposing any toxic policies enacted by unelected eurocrats.
